This is my the third entry in the engagement contest for week3, today I am participating in the scout and friends community, where we were requested to sow a life, as such I plan to sow life in a plantain banana plant.

Today I come to plant a plantain banana, it is a very beneficial plant that its crop produces is a means of survival for some people. The plantain banana is a species of the banana clan often known as Musa balbisiana which is the botanical name.

Plantain banana is are rich in starch when unripe, they are more useful when unripe and strong, recall that its products can be used for commercial purposes as such the plantain banana can be cooked, or fried and boiled, the ripe ones are sweet usually used as sugar for flavoring, it can also be left dried, which can be processed into making flour.

Planting a plantain banana doesn't require much stress, as such all you need is a sucker from a mother plantain banana,

Chose a sunny, cool area with moist soil, particularly a well-draining soil, and a place whereby the wind cannot affect it, preventing it from wind or frost.

Dig a hole wide and deep enough to contain the root ball and ensure it has enough space precisely 4-6feets from other plants to give room to spread.

Then put the sucker root in the hole you dig and refill the hole back with sand, if you are privileged to have manure, it is advisable to sprinkle some on the side of the sucker to provide the land with enough fertilizer to enable it produce a well healthy berries.

Tacking care of a plantain banana require less street so far you put in to consideration the methods I have highlighted like, the position fit to plant the sucker, plant in a well draining soil, avoid planting in a windy direction and most of all it should be regularly watered during the dry season.
