Hello Steemians,

Once again I am going to participate in a contest organized by members of the Scouts y sus Amigos community and I would like to thank them for these original ideas. As part of the third week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 5, I will talk about the occasion of the birthday of our noble Prophet Muhammed in Tunisia, I hope a good reading to all.

Tell us, what does it consist of?

Despite the progress of time, the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday in various parts of the Tunisian country still has social and religious characteristics, rituals, and peculiarities that distinguish Tunisia from other countries, and make the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday a unique religious occasion, in which family and loved ones meet in homes and mosques, discuss the biography of the Prophet Muhammad and celebrate the memory of the Prophet. Generated each in his own way.

The Prophet’s Birthday represents a religious and social occasion and value linked to the customs and traditions of many Tunisians, as they adhere to their customs to commemorate this occasion, and the celebration of this anniversary occupies a great place in Tunisia, as it is almost the only religious occasion that the state and its pillars are keen to revive in rituals and ceremonies known in the universities of Aqaba. And olive trees populated with the remembrance of God Almighty.

What does this celebration mean to you?

Yes, the birth of our Noble Prophet Muhammad, the best of prayers and peace be upon him, was the beginning of a civilization whose light radiated the whole world. Therefore, declaring joy on the day of his honorable advent to the world is a duty and a necessity. and delights, for what is more beautiful than gathering our children and the people of our house on an abundance of tolerant prophetic attitudes, and getting to know the advantages of his morals and his fragrant biography, especially that we are in dire need of these virtues and honors in light of the developments of the era and modernity that have caused the marginalization of many of our noble values, and the loss of many of our customs And our beautiful traditions, whose title is reparation of thoughts, parental consent, compassion among us, saving the old, respecting the young, and declaring honesty, loyalty, mercy and sincerity.

I believe that if we understood the true meaning of the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday, many evils that disturb the security of society would disappear, and noble morals and the values of tolerance, sympathy and compassion would abound among us. Therefore, the complete salvation is that our Noble Messenger is the role model and example.

How do you celebrate?

Muslims in various parts of the world are keen to commemorate the fragrant birth anniversary of his - may God bless him and grant him peace - out of respect for him and thanks to God for sending mankind guidance and mercy to see them and direct them to worship God alone, and to spread on earth the highest morals. Mosques are adorned with decorations and lights, and lessons of the Prophet’s biography abound in mosques and schools; So that the new generations may know about their noble Prophet, the mercy that is bestowed upon mankind.

There are also frequent sessions of dhikr and invocations that describe the Holy Prophet, and Muslims express their love and respect for him - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - with prophetic praise poems.

One of the manifestations of Tunisians celebrating the Prophet’s birthday is also cooking porridge, which is the food that it is said that the lady, Amina, the mother of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, cooked it after his birth, and that was blessed and optimistic about this food. The occasion is the zgogo porridge.

Tunisian women excel in preparing the “zgogo porridge”, which consists of zagogo (Aleppine pine), sugar, flour (flour), starch and eggs, in addition to rose water, cream, and dry fruits for decoration. On the day of the Prophet’s birthday, family visits are exchanged, and porridges decorated with fruits, almonds, hazelnuts, pecans and sweets are exchanged.

To be blessed with this memory and the birth of the Noble Prophet, families in Tunisia are keen to circumcise their children on the night of the birthday or in the morning, and Tunisian families take advantage of this occasion to celebrate the circumcision of their children in honor of the blessing and goodness of this memory.

On the day of his circumcision, the child would wear a traditional white dress from head to toe, then he would take him to the clinic or the doctor would bring him to his house where he was, and wishing to relieve the child and prevent him from thinking about the pain he was feeling, she offered him gifts, money and sweets to keep him calm.

With whom do you share the joys of this celebration?

Tunisians keep the celebration, and it is customary for hundreds of thousands to turn to Kairouan to celebrate the birth of the Prophet in the square of the ancient mosque of Uqba Ibn Nafi, where nights of praise and remembrances are held or gathering in the Al-Zaytouna Mosque in the heart of the old city. Worshipers also used to exchange congratulations and porridge dishes on the morning of the celebration.

Before posting my publication, I take this opportunity to invite @sailawana @fredquantum @pelon53 to participate in this contest.

Best Regards,

Hola amigo @kouba01

Excellent reading of the article, indeed all peoples have their own celebrations and we must teach them to future generations to preserve them. Thanks for passing by.

Thank you for inviting me to this contest, in my country, Indonesia, especially the Aceh region, we also celebrate the birthday of the prophet Muhammad sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam with great joy. And usually there is a special dish to be distributed to the poor and orphans.
I see the same thing happening in your area, glad to be able to remember and know the history of our prophet.
Good luck in this contest.
All best wishes to you..

I have read carefully and I am very pleased with your participation, I was totally unaware of this celebration.
Even though it is not part of my culture, I respect and appreciate the fact that you have detailed with great devotion how this day is lived in Tunisia.
As a chef, I liked knowing what food they share on that day, I have not tried anything similar, I only know the ingredients separately.

A nice read.

Hi brother. It seems that the celebration of the Prophet's Maulud there is very crowded. This is also our tradition in Indonesia. Especially those of Acehnese ethnicity who are still thick with religion. We celebrate Maulud Nabi with great joy.

Have a nice day brother

Religious celebrations happen to be one of the most interesting and eventful ones across the globe.

It's my pleasure to read your article on the birth of the Prophet as your best celebration of the year, it's rich and I can see a lot of blessings and events that accompanied the period.

The "zgogo porridge" must be a delicious one with the ingredients highlighted in this, hopefully, I can try meals like this sometime in the future.

Thanks for the invitation to this, @kouba01. Good luck to you in the contest.

Hola amigo @kouba1.

Saludos.
