My Languages |
---|
###How many languages do you speak? Which of them are your native languages and which ones have you studied?
My mother tongue is Tamil. Apart from this, able to speak, read and speak English, Hindi, Malayalam. Can only speak Kannada. Understands Telugu well, speaks only partially.
There is no hindrance as Tamil is mother tongue. Most of the reading (stories, poetry and a little bit of literature) is in Tamil. English was a subject in school so it wasn't that much of a problem. I studied only through Tamil medium till twelfth standard. I did my university studies entirely in English. Studying in English alone was not that difficult. Now there is no difficulty in speaking, writing or reading in English.
I learned English and it helps me a lot to write posts on steemit and other places. There is no doubt that English is a world language and a great language to communicate with people around the world.
What methods have you used to learn other languages?
Usually many languages are learned in childhood depending on the curriculum. Many learn English as a strength for employment. Knowing many languages helps to know many cultures, to feel proud of one's own culture, to learn anything easily, to get along with new people easily, to gain self-confidence, to increase the chances of finding a job, to learn many arts and literature.
Many people learn the language spoken where they live out of necessity. Many language learners are like this. Many consider it normal. For example, a truck driver traveling through many cities can speak many languages easily and many can read and write a little. He learned this naturally. Some are interested in learning multiple languages.
In addition to the ones you already speak, what other language would you like to learn?
One can learn any other language after performing all these four stages in one's mother tongue without fail and error. No matter what language you read, the brain will translate it into the mother tongue and then understand it. The answer will be created in the native language and then translated into other languages and published.
It was only after I started working on steemit that I became familiar with languages like Indonesian, Bangla, Turkish, Spanish, and Russian. I always want to learn more Spanish when I work on steemit. Spanish people are more on steemit so I translate and read their posts. At that time I wish to learn the language directly
What do you consider to be the most difficult thing about learning another language?
Mother tongue is the key to thinking ability. No matter how many languages one learns or which language one learns, one's thinking is formed in the mother tongue, and through the mother tongue one's thinking grows. Human emotions are fundamental to life. Only the mother tongue can give such development, and thinking in the mother tongue can express higher ideas in better words.
Interest is very important for us to learn foreign language whereas situation may also be the reason if a person is in a situation where foreign language is spoken around him then he will definitely be forced to learn that language so they can learn that language easily but when there is no foreign language situation he cannot learn that language however due to interest He can learn by reading and speaking by himself
###Why do you think it is important to master several languages?
There are no great benefits of learning more languages. The country they live in, India , where I live, Hindi is the most spoken language, but English language becomes essential for some of my important basic needs and traveling to the nationwide or to get international services.
As far as India is concerned I am well versed in English, Tamil and Hindi so it is easy to meet my needs wherever I go. This knowledge will ease the way to fulfill your needs in India. But if you want to go abroad, it will be useful to learn English and the languages of their country.
I would like to learn Spanish and Indonesian languages in Steemit because these languages are posted more than English and in these languages I see many interesting stories so I hope learning them will be useful for us in Steemit.
I would like to invite @moyeon , @jannatmou , @ceramixer, @poorvik to take part in this wondeful contest and win.

Yes hindi and Urudu are similar but Tamil is different, it is the world's Oldest language
I now know that you come from TN but I was confused between TN and AP. I have seen all 5 southern states and can speak a few words of all (Malyalam is tough though) During my posting in Bangalore I was good at Kannada but later I forgot most of it.
Yes both languages hear similarly but a lot of differences between them, thank you for reading and giving lovely comments
I was confused about you whether from AP or TN because as far as the languages are concerned, they sound different and I can differentiate between them very well! Thank you!
Saludos @jyoti-thelight.
Thank you for the review and for the scores
Yes indeed Hindi and the Urdu are quite similar to each other in listening and speaking. It seems you are very talented that you can speak almost 5 languages.
I wish you very good luck for the contest ☺️
Thank you very much for your appreciation and for passing a very good feedback
You are always welcome Mam 🤗💖
Saludos cordiales.
Yes I would like to learn your language Spanish because most of the blogs created in Steemit in the language
That is awful to hear that you're multilingual and have proficiency in Tamil, English, Hindi, and Malayalam. It's emotional that you can also speak Kannada and understand Telugu to some extent. Being suitable to communicate in multiple languages is a precious skill that allows you to connect with people from different backgrounds and societies.
Yes as a sounth indian we could understand all 4 languages, thank you for reading and passing a valuable comment
Welcome 😊
