With the availability of SDB getting more STEEM is easier which means more growth on users' accounts. SDB helps us to grow faster than when it is not printing. In this post, I have discussed the influence of Steemit on my account.

I have been on the Steemit platform since 2020-09-21, which means SDB is not something new to me, as I am an old Steemian. In 2020 when I joined the Steemit platform I made a transaction with SDB the first time I transacted with SDB was when I did my achievement2 task.
SDB stands for STEEM Dollar, which is a currency on the Steem blockchain network that is pegged to $1 US dollar. SDB is supported in some exchanges which means we can buy and sell SDB in external exchange that support SDB. Here on the Steemit platform, SDB is printed based on how the price of STEEM is, which currently as of the time of presenting this post, the printing of SDB is 100% with a debt ratio of 8.292%.

The debt ratio simply means when the price of STEEM falls below $0.25, the printing of SDB will pause (stop), until STEEM rises above $0.25 and stays in the price for long before SDB can begin to start printing. The usage of SDB is as follows:
You can Convert to STEEM via your wallet (Use your SDB and Buy STEEM).
You can Exchange for STEEM in the internal market.
You can Withdraw your SDB to an exchange, that supports SDB and trade for BTC or other digital tokens.
Purchase items (goods) through third-party stores that accept SBD tokens.
However, Many users use SDB to buy STEEM via Steemit wallet currently, which as of the time that I joined the Steemit platform I do withdraw my SDB to external exchange.

The arrival of SDBs has positively influenced my growth. The availability of SDBs which we have been earning for months now has helped me to grow faster than I expected to grow.

Looking at my Steem power you will see how far SDBs have influenced my growth on the Steemit platform. In early January with the arrival of SDBs I celebrated 20k Steem power, which as of last month, I also celebrated 25k Steem power which I am hoping to celebrate 30k SP soonest as I am closer to the ladder of 30k so.
With the arrival of SDBs, I have celebrated dolphins twice within a short period of 4 months, and soonest I will celebrate another dolphin. It is the arrival of SDB that has influenced my growth to the amount of Steem power that I have currently within a short time.
The arrival of SDBs has also helped me to meet my financial needs, as the amount of STEEM that I do power up and withdraw is much higher compared to when SDB hasn't been printing.

Currently, the way we are receiving rewards in SP and SDB is what I prefer. The reason why I prefer to receive rewards directly in SDB is because receiving rewards in SDB has influenced me positively within a short period.

Mathematically from the screenshot above without the availability of SDB I would earn 20.390 STEEM since the Steem power is 20.391 SP, but with the availability of SDB, the rewards that I received are 20.391 SP and 6. 441 SDB. Now based on the current market price of SDB ($4.63) as seen in the screenshot image at the right if am to use the 6.44 SDB to buy STEEM, I will end up having 85.117 STEEM as shown in the left screenshot.

Ideally, from the illustrations we have seen, it will be much easier for us to grow our account if we continue receiving SDB rewards than receiving Steem, which is the reason why I prefer them in SDB.

My story with SDB as a reward has been a good one despite the two losses my SDB transactions that I have experienced in the past. Well as someone who learns everything about the Steemit platform all by himself, the risk of trying how this works and so on is what I put in my mind first.
After completing my achievement 2 task I used the available SDB in my wallet bought STEEM powered up my account then transferred the remaining to an external wallet, Roqqu, the next week I made a mistake and sent SDB to Roqqu when it was not supported on Roqqu exchange, that was how I lost my SDB

Another story with SDB as a reward is me waiting for the price to appreciate so I can purchase more quantity of STEEM. There was a time I accumulated and saved my 2 weeks of SDB rewards with a plan that I want to use and buy enough Steem so I can celebrate 25k sp. Instead of buying at the current price, because of greed I went and placed an order that never executed at the price I set it.
That day I thought the price of STEEM would drop but it kept on rising I ended up using SDB to buy STEEM at the rate of 1SDB = 12.1 STEEM as against 1 SDB = 13.5 STEEM which I would bought since. Well, I have learned a lesson from that.

I sat glued to my screen last night wondering when I must buy Steem and with my husband gone fishing, it did not help me.

That is the power of limit order which works even in our absence. Based on the current price of STEEM I think it is now the best time for us to buy STEEM using SDB as it is cheaper now. Thanks for stopping by.

When I joined Steemit in May2022, I saw a couple of SBDs in my wallet and converted them Steem. Now that SBD is back since the price of Steem is over 0.25, I have converted almost all of them and reached faxt to my fifth dolphin even if the management did not honor my fourth. Hi @josepha, I really enjoy reading your entry, you have extra everything in great detail, since SBD came back, people have been able to gather some Steem for themselves and there are able to build their steempower, so many people have gotten dolphin not one or even two but three or even four dolphin, I have seen how this SBD have influence you.
