My favorite celebration of the year.

Hello, my dear esteemed Steemians. Greetings to you from your humble friend, @josepha. I hope you are doing very well. All glory be to God Almighty for the life given to us.
I am so excited to see you here reading through my S5 W3 engagement challenge contest post, which is part of my entry to the contest organized by Scouts y sus Amigos titled "My favorite celebration of the year". Indeed, we all love celebrating success and good things.
My favorite celebration of the year is the Christmas celebration. Christmas is a very large celebration that is celebrated all around the world every December 25th. It is believed that Christmas originated as a celebration to commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Christmas celebration has been going on for over a thousand years, and my family and I have been enjoying Christmas celebrations ever since I was a child.
When it comes to Christmas, there is a rich historical context to the history of Christmas that I will not be able to explain all here in this post. But in a nutshell, here in Nigeria, Christmas celebration consists of the following:
- Decorating Christmas trees at home or church
- Exchanging gifts
- Attending church
- Sharing meals with family and friends
- Wearing new clothes
- Anticipating the arrival of Father Christmas etc.
I adore the Christmas celebration so much because it's a wonderful festival that brings my family together, which is the main reason why it's my favorite celebration of the year.
Christmas celebration means a lot to me. To me, it is a special day that is set aside to share gifts with one another. It is a day for families to come together after they have been away for close to a year or more than a year.
Also, to me, Christmas means the birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christmas also means a day to put on a new dress (cloth), a special day for everyone to visit home and eat freely without feeling afraid. And finally, that it simply means a day to touch the lives of those in need.
I have been celebrating Christmas since I was a child. Then, as a child, my parents would buy me Christmas gifts and clothes. But today it is a revised case where I have to ask Carter for my own needs.
As for me, I usually celebrate Christmas with my family at home before going out with my friends to celebrate. On December 25th, I will make sure that I wake up very early in the morning to pray. After I finish my prayers, I will then go to my parents' room and wish them a Merry Christmas, before my brothers and sisters.
After wishing my loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance, I typically take a bath before rushing to church for the 8am Mass. Because of this, we typically begin Christmas Festival preparations early (between 23 and 24 of December).
After the church service, I get home and eat and drink a lot of soft drinks for the day before thinking of visiting some of my friends. I typically end my Christmas celebration by visiting a tourist attraction to see some beautiful and natural creatures.
It is with my family that I share the joys of Christmas celebration. Although I do share the joys of this celebration with my closest friends as well by sending them some good-wish messages. Celebrating Christmas at home with loved ones is the best way that I have been sharing Christmas joy.
