The risk may be that he will be punished for the truth he has obtained. The process of searching for the truth itself is an award that the person will receive.

With various forms of experience and understanding that a person gains during the process of searching for truth, it becomes a form of gift for himself. However, this expression also suggests that pursuing the truth can sometimes be a very difficult task. Pursuing a truth will be so exhausting that people will feel like they are being punished for the knowledge they discover in the process of the search.

It's hard to find someone who can almost solve and take responsibility for all the problems we face. If there is, of course we give extraordinary appreciation to that person. I think the purpose of this expression is to convey the message that human desires are not always fulfilled in the way they expect. As a child, this person would always pray every night asking God to get a new bicycle. This shows hope that God will give what is asked for.
