Yes you are right you have in life after death, as our stay on earth is short term and our eternal life is waiting in heaven which is more beautiful then this life As its promise of Allah Almighty.

We should do good deeds so that we can the day of mehsher infron of Allh Almighty who gave this blessing of life, one temporarily and other eternal. Although its painful to think about death but its fact.
