SEC - S10W1 | My most significant achievement

in Scouts y sus Amigoslast year
How true! I am glad to post my achievement in first week of the 10th edition of the Steemit Engagement Challenge. I must be thankful for this opportunity as I write about my humble effort how I reached where I am today.

I agree with you that life is nothing but a continuous journey towards betterment, setting goals, and making plan B in case we falter at any point. I trust that if you fail to achieve your objective and fall down, just stand up dust yourself and begin your journey afresh from that very point.

When it comes to pointing at a particular incident, it’s not easy to pinpoint any one incident that changes anybody’s life, but one goes back in the past and reviews a series of incidents before reaching a conclusion.

I believe that different reasons trigger different opportunities, but it’s up to the person how they react to them or how best they grab them! I will explain various reasons for finding turning points in one’s life.

Some people find their goals easily but others in a harder way. But as we are all not born with a silver spoon in our mouth, so we have to struggle or look for a particular turning point. It comes to us after a lot of struggle. I am not one of them.

I would like to categorize my journey through the points mentioned below because everything counts.

Family Background
Education
Employment
Achievements
Opportunities

𝖬𝗒 𝖺𝖼𝗁𝗂𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗆𝖾𝗇𝗍𝗌 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝗆𝗒 𝗃𝗈𝗎𝗋𝗇𝖾𝗒 𝖿𝗋𝗈𝗆 𝖻𝖾𝗀𝗂𝗇𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀

I grew up in an engineer’s household. My father and the then-crown prince of Bhutan were in the same batch in engineering college. My father topped the engineering college that year and was offered the post of director of agriculture in Bhutan, which is equivalent to that of minister of state. Although he was tempted to take it but refused since he did not want to serve in a kingdom.

My father took the job of a lecturer at an engineering university in a regional area and got married soon after. Here I came into the picture, as the firstborn of my parents, and by then my father had reached the post of head of the equipment engineering department.

I opened my eyes to a lush green area, blessed with all that Mother Nature can provide to humans. I started my primary schooling at age three, but soon my father was transferred to State Head Quarters with a post of engineer in a major manufacturing unit of instruments owned by the state government.

I used to walk to the equipment storage area where I insisted on learning to drive tractors and cranes, at the age of 10. The operators gladly let me operate those big machines within the permissible limit that a 10-year-old boy was supposed to do. I stayed in that city until I was in 10th grade, but then my father got transferred to another place, so I was sent to a hostel.

𝖳𝗁𝖺𝗍'𝗌 𝖺𝗇 𝖺𝖼𝗁𝗂𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗆𝖾𝗇𝗍 and 𝖾𝗆𝗉𝗅𝗈𝗒𝗆𝖾𝗇𝗍 𝗂𝗇 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗋𝗂𝗀𝗁𝗍 𝖺𝗋𝖾𝖺

I am an engineer and also have a PGDMA. I was good at badminton, so the badminton arena of 12 courts was my pleasure, where I played for at least one hour every day. I would have loved to play more, but one hour was the permitted limit for each player unless he was practicing for a tournament. But I would love to be a player but my father had other ideas.

𝖬𝗒 𝗃𝗈𝗎𝗋𝗇𝖾𝗒 𝖿𝗋𝗈𝗆 𝗉𝗋𝗈𝖽𝗎𝖼𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇 𝗍𝗈 𝗆𝖺𝗋𝗄𝖾𝗍𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗐𝖺𝗌 𝗇𝗈𝗍 𝖾𝖺𝗌𝗒

I am a top marketing professional with lots of achievements to my credit including how I reached the post of DGM (Marketing) in a top MNC. but I will skip that saying one can achieve all he wants or however high his targets might be.

At the end of my business school, I was offered a job by two different multinational companies, both in production, and I accepted one of them. But that was not my destination, because I wanted to travel the world and I saw that opportunity in a marketing career.

I requested my regional manager and head of HRD. I was granted a transfer to marketing, and that was one of the turning points in my life, as I was ready to fly like a free bird. But don’t think for a moment that life was a bed of roses; it was starting off a tough transformation, but I was ready for that.

However, I will write about my online writing targets here, which I consider one of my biggest achievements.
online

I have been on the internet since 1999, but it used to be too costly, so I had to wait until 2003 for any browsing and get a real hang of the social media sites that were coming up at that time. People were interested in introducing new people to those sites and engaging them in chat. I also found some of those, but that was for fun and nothing more.

𝖬𝗒 𝗇𝖾𝗑𝗍 𝗀𝗈𝖺𝗅 𝗍𝗈 𝖺𝖼𝗁𝗂𝖾𝗏𝖾 𝗐𝖺𝗌 𝗍𝗈 𝖻𝗅𝗈𝗀𝗀𝗂𝗇𝗀

A serious change came in 2008 when Elena, an Afro-British friend and a great blogger, introduced me to Mylot and Triond, the former was a discussion site and the latter an article writing site that transformed my hobbies, and I started writing small posts consisting of 200–400 words.

Soon I joined another site that offered me to write long posts on my chosen niche and general topics. I submitted posts with words up to 5,000 on that particular site and enjoyed writing those posts. I am not saying I was doing it for free; the money was good, but I enjoyed writing more than money because my earnings from my offline job were okay.

I completed my Blogging Certificate Course from Udemy https://www.udemy.com/

I have written for Hubpages, Squidoo, Bubblews, and a number of other Indian sites, some of which still exist, but most of them disappeared notwithstanding either spammers or Google’s policies about revenue sharing and earning algorithms. A major turning point was when I was selected as moderator and editor for three different sites, all during 2010–2012.

But the biggest turning point in my life came at the beginning of 2011, when I went to Australia. It’s not that I was thrilled to leave my country, but the reason for shifting to this country is entirely personal and most enjoyable.

They all helped me change my ideas and look positively at life, and that was no lesser achievement. As far as education is concerned, one is never done with education in his life, so I am still a student at an online blogging academy.

𝖬𝗒 𝗇𝖾𝗑𝗍 𝗀𝗈𝖺𝗅 𝗍𝗈 𝖺𝖼𝗁𝗂𝖾𝗏𝖾 𝗂𝗌 𝗍𝗈𝗈 𝗁𝗂𝗀𝗁

Finally, my joining Steemit is a turning point worth mentioning, a change for the better. As I always say, once I achieve something, I set my eyes on the next target and am willing to achieve it with all my might, no matter what!

I have some high goals for this website and achieving them slowly. I would like to disclose them but in phases. My next goal is to reach 2x dolphin which I should get in next few weeks. And that's not the end of the road but I have my eyes set on bigger goals on this website as well as in my career, which I am going to recommence in next few weeks after a long layoff.

Conclusion

I would like to list my achievements as per my priorities, but it’s not easy to give them priority by number. Here are my achievements:

My education
My sports career
My job according to my choice
My blogging

And I believe that my list will go on and on.

hola amiga! 🎉

very impressed, I also wasn't born into a rich life and inherited to live well without working. at the age of 10 you have started working hard to get what you want. You have many advantages besides being an engineer, including marketing matters.

I think your story really motivates us how we start to find ourselves, and decide what's best for us and our families.

Thank you for your kind visit and your feedback. Yep, at 10, I wanted to drive tractors and cranes and the operators would let me do that as much as a 10-year-old can do. But that was an experience I would never forget. However, I never let any opportunity go like I have taken to blogging during my layoff period. Thank you so much once agai.

my pleasure

Beautiful!
I admire your strength and consistency.

It was really kind of the operators to allow you operate the tractors, we tend to discover and develop certain characteristics at this age.

I was not allowed full control of them but they sat with me all the time. That was probably because they knew I was the son of their boss besides we were in a closed area where accidents were not possible. Thanks for your beautiful feedback 👍

Thank you for your kind support and sweet words but that's the fact. When I start something, I stop when I finish. I never leave anything midway and as long as this site is concerned, I will slow down once I am back in my job which is not far off from now. Thanks again.

Thank you so much TEAM and @pandora2010 I really appreciate your kind support!

I know you're a hard worker. You chase your target without stopping. We can achieve our goals if we set high goals for ourselves.
Most of the time, our family background assists us in reaching our goals.
Good luck with the contest.

Thank you so much, I don't know how I missed this wonderful piece of a cluster that had a lot of sweet words

When we spend our time in steemit, these types of mistakes are normal.
