Steemit Engagement Challenge S5-W2 / 3 images, one story.
What's up, friends? We are already in the second week of season five of Steemit engagement challenge. Scouts y sus Amigos community introduced us to yet another interesting contest titled "3 images, 1 story". Let's dive in.
Foreword
About my 3 images, 1 story:
My 3 images, which I'll include in this story, are of my guard dog, who turned out to be more of a pet dog, whom I love so much. After deciding to take part in this contest, it took me less than 10 minutes to choose my pet and write a story about it.
About this pet of mine, his behaviors and eating habits, and much more, will be included in this story. Hopefully, y'all will love to read .
About my pet
Meet my pet dog, his name is Pharaoh. According to a 1948 study book which I once read indicated that, various names given to human beings affect how they later perform in life. Names determines appearance, they are also associated with character and personality .Name:
I gave my dog the name Pharaoh in relation with the biblical Pharaoh who even though was shown dangerous signs to let the people of Israel go but continued to be stubborn. An arrogant and a heart hardener is the motive behind giving my dog this name.
Age & breed
Pharaoh is a 5-year-old male German Shepherd dog who has grown to this size due to his constant and extensive eating habits. He was born precisely on the 20th of September, 2017, according to whom I acquired Pharaoh from. Beyond being a German shepherd dog, Pharaoh eats different types of food, almost 91% of what I eat. Such a dangerous foodie.
Life aging: How Pharaoh became more of a pet dog than a guard dog
As being a German shepherd dog, Pharaoh started receiving discipline and commands from me as early as 3–9 months, such as sit, down, stay, don't eat, walk and much more, and he has been obeying accordingly. He's such a fast learner that he doesn't forget things easily. I personally trained him to eat three whole times a day. I have no regrets, though. He eats noodles or rice as breakfast, chunks in the afternoon, and garri-fufu and soup in the evening (his favorite)
I do go out with Pharaoh for a walk, preferably early in the morning, at least four times a week. While I believe this act has many benefits for both of us, it also feels like we are doing it for fun.
He loves playing around with me; he really derives so much comfort in doing that. How Pharaoh is gradually becoming more of a pet dog than a guard dog isn't a mystery but purely the owners' fault. I haven't been stopping him lately as I used to, but all the same, it's not a problem since he's been very active in terms of security as well.
No doubt that a pet dog isn't a lazy dog, nor should you expect a guard dog to be less loving. In fact, they make very good family pets. They can also be affectionate just like any other dog, while at the same time keeping their family safe. Pharaoh isn't different either, which is why I see no need to stop him from playing around with me.
He enters even in my bedroom uninvited

In several instances, especially when I'm not in the room, Pharaoh sneaks in and walks around as though he owns it. Sometimes he ended up sleeping or taking a nap in it, but never on the bed. Other times, I'll be deep asleep, but since the door is open, he feels it's free for him to enter, and he does. Sometimes I do wake up and see Pharaoh beside me. He scares me most of the time, especially in the dark. While I'm busy with my stuff, he comes from nowhere and starts rubbing himself on me, lol.
There could be no complete description of Pharaoh as a type of dog that doesn't just bark but only when there's something strange to him. He lives whatever he's doing, such as playing or even eating, to address the challenge at hand. This is something every dog owner wants from his dog, and mine doesn't disappoint either.
Conclusion
As of the time of writing this, Pharaoh is right here with me and saying hi to you all. He promised never to disappoint too.
We hoping to read other people's story too.
