Introducción

Mi país posee una gran cantidad de atractivos, algunos de ellos muy conocidos en el mundo como la pampa húmeda, las cataratas del Iguazú, los viñedos cuyanos, los cerros coloridos del norte, el río más ancho del mundo, la carne, la ciudad más austral del planeta, el glaciar Perito Moreno y tantos otros. Pero no es objetivo de esta publicación mencionarlos, me detendré en destacar algo que quizás no es tan conocido, ni siquiera por los propios argentinos me refiero al chocolate y la gran tradición que existe en la Patagonia, con centro en la ciudad de Bariloche.

Un poco de historia

La Argentina siempre ha sido tierra de inmigrantes y en las primeras décadas del siglo XX españoles e italianos llegaron huyendo de las guerras y atraídos por una tierra que prometía mucho, entre ellos arribó a la ciudad de San Carlos de Bariloche un inmigrante de Turín, el señor Aldo Fenoglio quien poseía un oficio poco difundido en la región: era chocolatero y pastelero.

Inspiración y trabajo

Fenoglio y su esposa desarrollaron una industria que combinó magistralmente los secretos de las recetas europeas con innovaciones propias donde incluyó dulces y otros elementos de producción autóctona para lograr sabores únicos y exquisitos, su éxito fue enorme y el Chocolate Fenoglio trascendió fronteras.

Resultado

Hoy en día existen en Bariloche varias fábricas de gran nivel, combinadas entre ellas se pueden conseguir más de 200 variedades diferentes de sabores. Desde 2012 se realiza anualmente en esa ciudad la fiesta nacional del chocolate y hasta existe un museo donde se recrea la elaboración y la historia de un producto irresistible.

My country has a large number of attractions, some of them well known in the world such as the humid pampas, the Iguazu falls, the Cuyanos vineyards, the colorful northern hills, the widest river in the world, meat, the largest city southern part of the planet, the Perito Moreno glacier and many others. But it is not the objective of this publication to mention them, I will stop to highlight something that perhaps is not so well known, not even by the Argentines themselves I refer to chocolate and the great tradition that exists in Patagonia, with its center in the city of Bariloche.

Argentina has always been a land of immigrants and in the first decades of the 20th century, Spaniards and Italians arrived fleeing wars and attracted by a land that promised much, among them an immigrant from Turin arrived in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, the Mr. Aldo Fenoglio, who had a job little spread in the region: he was a chocolatier and pastry chef.

Fenoglio and his wife developed an industry that masterfully combined the secrets of European recipes with their own innovations where they included sweets and other elements of indigenous production to achieve unique and exquisite flavors, their success was enormous and Fenoglio Chocolate transcended borders.

Nowadays there are several high-level factories in Bariloche, combined among them more than 200 different varieties of flavors can be obtained. Since 2012 the national chocolate festival has been held annually in that city and there is even a museum where the elaboration and history of an irresistible product are recreated.
