And at this time I want to share a plant that is very liked by women, namely flowers. The flowers that I post on this occasion are flowers in my own home garden planted by my beloved mother. Below are some pictures flowers that I have photographed.

1. Arrowroot, arrowroot or irut (Maranta arundinacea)

Arrowroot, arrowroot or irut (Maranta arundinacea) is a type of herbaceous plant that produces edible tubers. Garut has never been a staple food source, but it is often planted in rural yards as a food reserve in the famine season.

Terna is chronic, erect, with forked branching stems, up to 40–100 cm high. The rhizome is soft and swollen, fleshy, whitish or reddish, with reddish-white leaf scales. The leaves are long-stemmed, midrib at the base and thickened, with oval or oval-shaped strands with a pointed tip. Compound flowers in terminal panicles (at the tip of the stem), zygomorphic, white. Fruit oval, dark red, bald to hairy.

Arrowroot is mainly grown for its tubers, which produce high-quality, fine-sized and expensive starch. The arrowroot rhizome can also be used as an alternative carbohydrate source to replace wheat flour.

2.Spider plant

Spider plant is an ornamental flower that is widely planted in my area for now. Spider plant is also suitable to be placed indoors, because it has a unique leaf color, which is green with white to yellow lines.

Not only that, spider plants are also very easy to care for. This plant can grow well both indoors and outdoors.

The first thing to do is to remove the spider plant from the plastic container. Plastic containers prevent air circulation and eventually cause the plant to rot.

The next step is to replant the spider plant in a porous container, such as a terracotta pot with drainage holes.

3.Calathea Peacock

This flower is also in great demand by the women of my village, besides this flower is beautiful, it is also very easy to care for. because this flower without being given fertilizer can grow very well. Besides that, this flower is also affordable because it costs around 25,000 RP or with STEEM only 3.5 STEEM only.

4.ornamental taro

Well ... this is a flower that is booming in Indonesia. My mother did not escape to plant this flower, this flower has so many colors and also various patterns. This flower has a small stem and is also soft, and also has leaves that characteristically shaped like a heart.

5.Coleus

Coleus is a genus of herbaceous or perennial shrubs, sometimes succulent, sometimes with fleshy or tuberous rootstocks, found in the tropics and subtropics of the Old World. The relationship between the genera Coleus, Solenostemon and Plectranthus has been confusing. Coleus and Solenostemon sank into Plectranthus, but recent phylogenetic analysis found Plectranthus to be paraphyletic with respect to other related genera within the subtribe Plectranthinae. Recent taxonomic treatments of the resurrected genus Coleus, and 212 names changed from combinations in Plectranthus, Pycnostachys and Anisochilus. Equilabium was separated from Plectranthus, after phylogenetic studies supported its recognition as a phylogenetically distinct genus.
