Hallo friends Steemit-Garden wherever you are, on this occasion I want to share about ornamental plants owned by my sister

Aglonema Tiger and Aglonema Blanceng

Before I explain how to plant and care for it, I will first explain some of the knowledge as follows:

1. What is Aglaonema?

Aglaonema is one of the ornamental plant species that is easy to grow in subtropical to tropical areas.

2. Where did the Aglaonema plant come from?

Aglonema originates and grows wild in the rainforests of Southeast Asia, which are found in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

3. Where did the name Aglonema come from?

The name Aglaonema comes from Ancient Greek which means 'shiny plant'.

4. Another name for Aglaonema.

Aglaonema plants in our area are also called by the name 'sri fortune'. In accordance with its local name, this plant is believed to be able to provide positive energy to bring fortune (myth).

This one plant is also one of the plant flora that is effective in removing household pollutants.

Now I will explain how to plant and care for Aglaonema

1. Make sure Aglaonema plants are healthy

Before planting it, prepare the Aglaonema plant first and make sure it is healthy.

2. Prepare the appropriate planting media and pots

prepare a pot filled with planting media with a mixture of black soil, roasted rice husks, and compost.

3. Hole planting media

perforate the planting medium sufficiently in the middle of the pot.

4. Cut the stem of Aglaonema and insert it into the hole

Insert the Aglaonema stem that has been cut into the hole that was made earlier, then backfill the soil around the planting media hole and compact the soil.
After that, flush the Aglaonema with enough water

5. Keep it away from the sun first

After planting, place the pot containing Aglaonema on the terrace of the house. However, make sure not to be exposed to direct sunlight for a week.

After a week, you can put the Aglaonema plant in direct sunlight.

6. Water the plants when the planting medium is dry

For treatment, water the Aglaonema plant when the planting medium starts to dry.

7. Fertilize once a month

Give NPK fertilizer once a month for Aglaonema fertilization that you plant.
