Gayo Coffee Harvesting and Coffee Trading Business Opportunities
Hello friends of Steemit Garden, I hope you are always in good health and blessed. I'm so glad I can share content about coffee.
Gayo Highlands does have a million charms, not only because of its culture and natural beauty, but also because of the delicious coffee produced in Gayo land. Until now, almost all people and circles know the deliciousness of Gayo coffee. Coffee that is almost always served on the menu of coffee shops everywhere. This Gayo highland coffee is generally cultivated with "arabika" coffee, which has swept the world.
The Gayo Highlands, especially the Takengon Region, are known as the best coffee-producing areas. Robusta and arabica are the mainstay coffees in this region. What is the sensation of picking coffee directly from the coffee garden. I want to take you closer to see some portraits of coffee picking activities.
It's quite a pleasant experience if you have the chance to pick coffee. Coffee plants generally grow in fertile and loose soil, and also have cold air. I want to share education about coffee plants.
This paper specifically explains more about how to care for coffee trees, coffee beans, and how to pick coffee. For coffee tree care, it is not much different from caring for plants in general. It needs to be given fertilizer, and if the coffee tree is already piled up with dry coffee leaves, it must be cleaned by hoeing with a scratching hoe, so that the fertilizer easily absorbs into the soil right where the roots are.
Coffee trees that are old or already fruiting need attention to shoot care or often called "ceding" which is just growing at the top, it must be cut otherwise the coffee tree will grow towering upwards and it will be difficult when harvesting coffee cherries. The method of picking coffee cherries is not so difficult, because the pickers only pick coffee cherries that are evenly red. It's just that when it's flowering season, pickers have to be more careful in picking coffee cherries, because the position of coffee flowers and small coffee cherries is often close to large and ripe/red coffee.
If you are not careful, it is feared that the small coffee and coffee flowers will also fall out. The small coffee and coffee flowers should be able to participate in the next harvest. Likewise with coffee tree branches or twigs, pickers must also be careful because coffee berries grow on tree branches or twigs.
Then the coffee that has been picked, may be further processed such as grinding and drying by farmers. It can also be sold raw or called "selling logs" to coffee shoppers. The majority of farmers there prefer to sell red coffee, the sales system is calculated from bamboo or cans.
One can contains 10 bamboo. The price of a can is in the range of 30,000-150,000 at most. It's different again if it is sold that has been processed into coffee beans, the price is more expensive. I really enjoyed this moment, and recommend you to try exploring the Gayo Highlands, Takengon, Aceh.
That's my post, hopefully it will give you education. Thank you for reading and supporting my post. Success for all of us.
Regards

I'm wondering if coffee beans on trees have aroma? Or does the aroma appear only when they are harvested and after grinding?

The aroma of coffee can also be smelled when the red coffee is on the tree and also during harvesting. The aroma of coffee will feel more concentrated when dried and roasted. Thanks for your feedback, nice day !
