club 100 || The effectiveness of gardening in mental and physical well-being
Greetings to All
Hello friends,
Today I am writing about The effectiveness of gardening in mental and physical well-being.
The green nature is especially limited in our urban areas like in other cities surrounded by concrete. So we can build a green garden on the small veranda or roof that remains in our house. If we compare it with a little village or loose ball, the mental turmoil in this epidemic among them is a little less than that of the people of the city, because they are able to adapt themselves to the green, being very close to nature.
At the moment, it is well understood that spending time in the garden directly enhances physical and mental well-being. Gardening, therefore, is a very healthy habit.

The good news for those who already have regular garden care and weed control is that the American Heart Association considers it a great exercise and you can burn fat as easily as a gym by working in the garden at home. Playing with soil, removing diseased leaves and pruning weeds are especially effective in burning calories in our body.

Beyond the benefits of calories, gardening helps to improve your strength, muscle, and endurance. A study from the University of Arkansas has revealed that digging the soil can also help increase bone density. Of the 3331 women aged 50 and over, who had gardened at least once a week, their bones were stronger than others.
Raking: Our back muscles work out by raking. And it helps to burn 100 calories.
Digging the soil: This involves working out the leg or buttock (buttock) muscles which help to burn 250 calories.
To clean the weeds: This involves the exercise of the triceps which helps to burn 105 calories.
Take care of the lawn: Good news for those who have a lawn in the garden. Lawn mowing involves arm or shoulder exercises that burn 195 calories.
Nutritionists say that gardening helps in weight loss. Various studies have shown that gardening has a significant positive effect on your bodyweight loss. The garden encourages you to eat vegetables! When you grow your own vegetables, fruits, or herbs, you will be more focused on getting food from your own garden.
Gardening also improves your mental health |

There is a lot of peace of mind if you work in the garden outside of the physical benefits. Since gardening usually involves working in the sun, it helps your body absorb vitamin D. But of course morning sun, not noon. Vitamin D not only acts as an energy booster, but also improves the bones, brain, heart, kidneys, and immune system.
Having plants in your home increases our sense of calm; relaxes the mind and promotes a comfortable atmosphere. Working in the garden for 30 minutes a day has been shown to relieve stress more effectively than reading a book for 30 minutes at home. Soil bacteria Mycobacterium helps the body produce serotonin, a hormone that soothes the mind and lowers levels of anxiety.

Community gardening can help reduce feelings of isolation and boost self-esteem as it helps people to socialize. It is also known that gardening can help reduce the symptoms of dementia. If children and adolescents work in the garden for a certain period of time at school, their concentration on their studies increases, which in turn increases their test scores.
In addition to these research reports, Basic Biology tells us that domestic plants increase the level of pure oxygen in the air. The Royal Horticultural Society of America notes that houseplants can increase tolerance to physical injury and even reduce fatigue and headaches. That is to say, the houseplant establishes a spiritual relationship with you which boosts your morale and at the same time helps to keep your mind happy.
Usually when we are under stress, we focus on painting, photography, or other arts to reduce stress and keep ourselves refreshed, or even listen to soothing songs or spend time alone. Want to keep yourself away from family. This can lead to schizophrenia or mental illness. But if you spend 30 minutes every day in the garden, it lowers the cortisol hormone (stress hormone). Helps us reconnect with nature. So we can spend time in the garden on our own initiative to get rid of our depression or not to wrap ourselves up when we are in a bad mood or to be engrossed in a laptop which is not only for furnishing or meeting your food needs but also increasing our peace of mind.
This concludes my post.
Hope you enjoy it.
See you in the next publication.

Very helpful post. I agree with everything you wrote. Gardening prolongs the life of ordinary people and makes them healthier.
