Kunjalata or Tarulata or Gate flower
Hello friends! How are you all? Hope you are very well me too. Today I'm going to share a post about Kunjalata or tarulata flower.
Kunjalta is the flower of the creeper plant. Other names are Tarulata, Kamalta, Taralata, Gate Flower, Gate Lata. In English, it is called cypress vine, cypress vine morning glory, cardinal creeper, cardinal climber, hummingbird vine, etc. The scientific name of the plant is Ipomoea quamoclit or Quamoclit pinata which is a member of the family Convolvulaceae. It is found in almost all tropical regions of the world.
These flowers bloom in the morning and are called Suryakanti. It is also called Taralata because of its five-pointed star-shaped flower. It is an annual perennial, 1-3 m long. The leaves are 2-9 cm long, deeply segmented, with 9-19 segments on each side of the leaf.
The flowers are 3-4 cm long and 2 cm in diameter, mic-shaped, with 5 pointed tips on the petals. It can be red, pink or white. Its flowers are in summer. The flowers fall and become small fruits so that there are black seeds. Its offspring are propagated from seed.
Hemorrhoids can be treated by mixing the juice of the leaves of Tarulata with ghee
