It's great to be able to take part in a contest that gives us all a lot of information and knowledge, especially about the seasonal flowers that exist in various parts of the world. I believe, flowers that grow in cooler areas have a lighter color, size and variety than those that live in the tropics. However, the beauty of flowers wherever they grow will definitely be able to enchant us who see them like the flowers below.

Hippeastrum striatum(Lily Star)

Hippeastrum striatum is the scientific name of a flower that I often call the Lily Star flower because it looks like a star and leaves like a lily flower. This is a flower that grows in front of my mother's house. Usually this flower will grow in various places, which are rocky or slightly sandy. This flower also grows about 30 cm high leaves and flower stems can reach 1 meter. This flower has a very beautiful color and has different colors such as red, white, pink, red and white, even orange as I show below. There is a characteristic that this flower has, namely it has straight lines on each side of the crown and the long pistil leads out of the flower up to 10 cm.

In one yard, this plant has 2-3 pairs of leaves when it will flower. On one stem can grow 3-4 flowers that bloom almost simultaneously. This plant blooms in spring around January to August. This flower is very resistant to any situation, so if it has grown then there is no excessive care that we have to do, just need to keep the yard where it grows.
