Hello plant lovers, today I want to share with you some pictures I have taken in the garden of my grandparents' house. My grandmother was a nature lover, especially of plants, so her garden was always characterized by having a great diversity of plant species
so since I can remember, going into the gardens was an adventure of exploration, and still is, because my aunts have continued the tradition and keep many plants and get some new species that is possible.
So one of my visits I took the task to explore a little and observe, I could see the well-known cayenas and a palm on which grow a purple bulb, but the one that caught my attention was a plant that later I could identify as a "Bromelia fosforito" whose scientific name is Aechmea gamosepala.
What most caught my attention of this plant was its intense purple color, and at the same time its shape, my first impression was like seeing an extraterrestrial plant. Undoubtedly, it has the shape and colors of a plant that we would see on another planet. Also without knowing the name of this plant, I also thought that it looked like small matches, it is quite understandable why it got its name.
This specific plant is about 25 years old, or at least the first one that was received for this garden, it was brought from Miami by a relative of my grandmother who gave it to her as a gift and since then it has been part of the garden
