Contest Season Hunt Week 3 - Yellow Lilies and Bells

For this hunt I would like to feature two types of plants that we have in our garden that bear yellow flowers. The first is the Yellow Rain Lilly.

Zephyranthes citrina, is a species of bulbous plant belonging to the family Amaryllidaceae, native to Mexico. Wikipedia

The only thing with this plant is it doesn't bloom very often when it is not raining. Even with daily watering, it is more predisposed to blooming when it is inundated frequently with rain water.

The second plant that we have that blooms yellow flowers is this Yellow Bell Plant or Yellow Trumpet Flower.

Tecoma stans is a species of flowering perennial shrub in the trumpet vine family, Bignoniaceae, that is native to the Americas. Common names include yellow trumpetbush, yellow bells, yellow elder, ginger-thomas. Wikipedia

The Yellow Bell is such a prolific flower bearing plant and does not stop blooming the whole year round. It is such a joy to see it everyday with its crop of lovely yellow flowers. In addition, it is a low maintenance plant that only needs watering once a day.
