This is a round, edible fruit produced by an apple tree (plant). Apple trees are cultivated worldwide, and the most widely grown species in the GENUS MALUS.
Apples are also known as one of the pome (fleshy) fruits. Apples being harvested differ widely in size, shape, colour, and acidit and nature of yield, but most are fairly round and some shade of red , yellow and green. All types of apples falls in to this three broad classes: cider, cooking, and dessert varieties.
Here in Nigeria, the most consumed is the red apples, the are grown locally in compounds and yards.

This fruit is detected to be about 60 calories each, giving you a lot of nutritional boost for your calorie upcount. You benefit more when it is eaten ,whole, raw and unpeeled.
So, yes it is very safe, okay and health beneficial to consume apples. This is about ripe apples, consuming unripe ones are dangerous, eaten them may result to lip burns as they are very acidic in that stage. As i further researched, consumption of unripe apples may lead to discomfort, particularly in individuals who have sensitive stomachs or are prone to acid reflux and reactions.
Clean and washed apples can be bit into, holding it uprightly, biting the sides consecutively while turning it round gradually.
Apples can also be sliced into different sizes and shapes, then picked with hands, fork or chopsticks.
