My Perfect Sandwich / Fruit Sando / @purebredpotato

Hello everyone. This contest was prepared by @crisvera with the entry theme of the week: My Perfect Sandwich 🥪

I do agree with the author of this contest that there are so many kinds of sandwiches. She only mentioned meats and veggies in the post though. Thats when i got that.. hey why not mention fruits? They are my favorite 😞 Then i thought, arent fruit sandwiches popular in other places? 🤔 Nutella/peanutbutter banana sandwich is a good one. I was supposed to make that but i dont have nutella or peanut butter. 😫 So yeah my available ingredients are for another kind of sandwich.

This is a Japanese Fruit Sandwich better known as Fruit Sando. This is popular in Japan and gained more popularity during pandemic, quarantine easy recipes along side with dalgona coffee. 😁 This is so good and very aesthetic. So cute! It is a perfect partner for coffee or juice. Good for breakfast and snack. I can eat this everyday!

This is what youll need:

• Bread (any bread will do but i highly suggest go with milk bread)
• Fruits (seasonal fruits but the less watery kind like grapes, berries, orange, banana, apple, mango, pineapple and peaches)
• whipping or heavy cream
• sugar

Notes:
If you want to up a notch this like i did. I added cream cheese. Others add marcapone or jam.

How i made it:

• whisk togther heavy cream, cream cheese and sugar until double the size.
• trim fruits. I used strawberries here and i just took out the green part.
• cut the edges of the bread. But that is optional.
• layer bread cream and fruits.
• wrap in cling warp and chill for a few minutes or an hour. We do this because it is easier to cut if cream is set.
• cut and serve. Cutting can be vertical or slant or X to make small bite size pieces.

PS: Only my doggo felt cute and did the selfie with the cute fruit sando. I was busy enjoying the moment with the fruit sando and juice in the background. I hope that counts and is excusable. 😅
