Steemit Engagement Challenge S9-W1: "Art in Food"
Hello friends, welcome to my blog. This is an interesting contest that I wish to share with you. We eat different kinds of food on daily basis just to sustain life. In this contest, I will be putting you through how art can be done with vegetables.
Okra also known as ladies' fingers is a flowering plant with edible seed pods grown majorly grown in Mali, Nigeria, and India. It also has a good source of minerals and vitamins. It is best for pregnant women and blood sugar control. The vitamin C in okra helps sustain a healthier immune system.
I am not a fan of this vegetable, I prepare it once in a long while. I decided to prepare it today but before that, I used it to create beautiful art that would interest you. It's a beautiful flower plant.
I used okra, pumpkin leaves, and pepper to make my art in food.
Below is the picture of vegetables I used for my art.
•Okra
•Pumpkin Leaves
•Pepper
I washed the quantity of okra that I needed and sliced it into my desired shape. I washed the quantity of pepper I would be needing and then sliced it to my desired shape. After that, I separated the pumpkin leaves from their stems.
On a plate, I placed the pumpkin stems and started decorating it with the okra. The idea was just coming as I placed one after another. After I placed the okra, it wasn't beautiful enough, then I decided to make it look beautiful by adding the pepper at the center, and wow! It turned out beautiful. Take a look below!
I have never done art with food, fruits, or vegetables. I am glad this contest came up and I have been able to create something with vegetables. Oh! how nice it is! I hope you like it because I love it.
You can try doing this in the comfort of your home. It is very easy and simple. Follow my steps and you are good. I am glad I participated.
