Recipe of the Day, Week No. 25: (Shami Kabab)

Hi I am Maryam Nadeem from #pakistan. Come once again to share my Yummiest Recipe with you guys. As you know that I prepare delicious recipes at my home and share them with you guys, I also made Shami Kebabs at my home which turned out to be very delicious. Let me tell you what ingredients I used. So lets start. 😍

Ingredients ✨

Preparation ✨

  • In the name of Allah, the Merciful. First of all, I will tell you the main ingredients, the first step we have to do, the first step I did is that first I took a pressure cooker and added enough water to dissolve our mutton. Then I added green chillies, garlic and ginger to it and applied pressure for about 15 to 20 minutes so that our meat becomes soft and the herbs become soft easily.
  • Then when you see that your meat is well cooked, put the meat in a good place and then add the soaked lentil under the same pressure and apply pressure for five to 10 minutes. Do not apply pressure for too long as overcooked. Because if your dal lentil will be too soft and thin, Shami Kebabs will not be good in shape. Then, when you see that the dal and the meat have softened and cooked well, add salt, coriander, mint and red chillies and mix well.

  • As you can see, the way I have cooked the dal and meat, it is hard, because hard will make good Shami kebabs, if it becomes soft, then our kebabs will not be good and while cooking. These will break. So try to use less water inside the dal lentil. Now we come to the next step in which you have to mix the dal lentil well. In a pot or if you have a chopper in your house, add the dal lentil little by little so that a good dal lentil kabab paste is prepared.

  • When your paste is well prepared then prepare the kebabs in small round shape. You can also make different shapes but we make round shape which is very popular in our Pakistan, we eat these kebabs mostly with biryani etc. and they have so much taste. Then after that I added the egg in a small bowl and beat the egg well.

  • Now after dipping each kebab in the egg, oil was added on top of the tawe and slowly placed on the tawe so that it gets fried well. Remember to heat the oil well first and then add the kebabs on top of it and then cook on a light inch from one side and then from the other side so that our kebabs are fried well and brown.

  • Then take it out on a plate and serve it with roti. I had prepared rotis at home. Well, whenever we make kebabs, we order rotis made from outside, but I quickly prepared home-made rotis. Hi guys you can eat this kebab with curd and with ketchup but I prefer it with ketchup. Because I eat kebab with ketchup very fondly, my children also eat it very fondly and the family liked it very much and they appreciated it very much. You guys must try in your house.
