Hi everyone and greetings to all the wonderful chefs 👩🍳 of this community and to all steemians. Being part of this contest has given me great joy because food colour gives us a perception of what we're going to eat. It raises our emotions and prepare our mind towards having a good time eating. So to this effect, I share my views because food colour can affect one's overall experience while eating.
• What is the most used color in your meals?
The most used colour in my meal is "Green". Green tends to represent freshness, richness and nutritional value etc. My Green is associated with vegetables, that is the leafy and the herbs which I do use in my various dishes. When adding green to foods, it makes the food more vibrant and appealing.
• Do you consider that colors in foods represent nutrition?
Apart from the colour of food being eye catching and appetizing, it also shows that the food is nutritious, but for the food to be nutritious it goes beyond the food colour (it must have all food composition including micronutrients). So its important that our meal should contain a wide range of colours, so as to ensure that one has a good nutrition.
• What is your favrite color in food?
Green is my favourite colors in food. I love vegetables such as cucumbers, pumpkin, spinach, and fliuted pumpkin. To me Green represent nature, growth, harmony, freshness, balance, health and wellness.
• Shows a meal from the menu of the day and the colors in it.
I love one of our native food called "Oto Mboro". It's prepaid from banana paste. It can be prepared without vegetables. But I always add green vegetables to my banana paste meal to add that greenish colour to other colours.
Am inviting @roohbee @itymartin and @abiphil to also share their views on this contest.
Hola... deliciosas comidas presentas donde colocas de manifiesto el colorido de ellas... Jugar y combinar los colores al final da buen resultado porque al ver el plato provoca ingerir los alimentos...
Hi.... thanks for the your comment. Its indeed fun while playing with this colours when making meals, but the natural ones are the ones with more nutritional value.
