What is that dish that you always make at home that makes you happy?

During Ramadan my mother Pakoras are an absolute delight that brings immense joy to our aftari (breaking of the fast) table. Crispy golden brown and bursting with flavor they are a staple that I eagerly look forward to every day.

Additionally my mother also prepares delectable Chana Chaat adding refreshing and tangy twist to our aftari spread. And of course no aftari is complete without serving of fragrant rice adding a comforting touch to our meal.

Mosque

As the night falls we gather at the mosque for Taraweeh prayers. After prayers we indulge in the warmth of Kawa paired with sweet syrupy Jalebis

after this we also eat Fruit Chat at moqsue These delightful treats not only satisfy our taste buds but also nourish our souls during this sacred month.

What ingredients or culinary techniques make this dish special to you?

What makes my mother Pakoras special are the fresh vegetables she uses and the perfect blend of spices. From the crispiness of the onions to the tenderness of the potatoes each ingredient is carefully selected to create a harmonious flavor profle. The secret lies in the batter combination of gram flour spices and splash of water resulting in light and crispy coating when fried to Perfection.

Similarly the Chana Chaat is elevated by the tangy tamarind chutney zesty chaat masala and generous squeeze of lemon juice. The burst of flavors and textures from the creamy chickpeas to the crunchy sev creates symphony of tastes thats tantalize the taste buds.

How would you share the happiness that this dish brings you with others?

I would love to invite my dear friend Dr. Kareem to join me for an aftari at my home. We share a bond forged through our prayers at the mosque and I believe breaking our fast together would deepen our friendship and create lasting Memories.

Dr. Kareem presence would add an extra layer of joy to our gathering as we savor the delicious dishes prepared with love and care by my mother.

If you could share this dish with one person who would you choose and why?

If I could share my aftari spread with one person it would undoubtedly be my dear friend Dr. Kareem. Our bond extends beyond mere friendship he companion in our spiritual journey during Ramadan praying with me in the mosque and sharing moments of reflection and gratitude. Inviting him to partake in our aftari feast would not only strengthen our bond but also serve as token of appreciation for his presence in my life.

¡Saludos amigo!😊
