INTRODUCTION
Greetings everyone, hope we all are doing good? It is a thing of joy to be among the steemians today. Today, I will like to join the contest organized by steemironchef community that demands we talk about healthy eating.

It is important to eat healthy foods as it helps the body to be in good and perfect shape, and it slows the rate of aging process.

WHAT IS HEALTHY EATING FOR YOU?

Healthy eating is a process of eating all of the classes of food in one meal at a given right proportion and amount.

When eating healthily, an individual should eat at a given time and also make sure that they maintain that time everyday to aid in the normal physiology of the body.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF EATING FOODS THAT PROVIDE NUTRIENTS, MINERALS AND VITAMINS TO THE BODY?

Healthy eating has it's own importance, and it is very important to eat healthily because of the following.

  • eating good food and exercising adequately helps in the normal functioning of the body, thus reducing the rate of aging.

  • healthy foods also helps to repair worn out tissues, help in growth, and also help in the normal physiology of he body

  • healthy eating reduces the risk of infection by building the white blood cells.

  • healthy eating helps in clear eye sight (vit A), red blood cells production (folic acid) and lots more

DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR DIET TO BE HEALTHY?
Majorly, as a student, what I can afford to buy is carbohydrates e.g rice, garri e.t.c. however, with my little knowledge of nutrition, I make sure to balance my diet by including different nutritional food to my diet. For example, j can decide to cook rice, in that rice I will add crayfish and fish which has iodine(mineral) and protein respectively, I will also add Vegetable oil or palm oil which is a replacement for lipids, and palm oil is rich in vitamin A, I will also add some vegetables that are rich in other vitamins, table salt and water. These are the little ways I use in other to balance my meal in school.
WHICH ARE THE FOODS THAT YOU CONSUME MOST IN YOUR DAILY MENU, DO YOU CONSIDER THAT THEY ARE THE RIGHT ONES TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY DIET?
In my daily menu, I consume carbohydrates more but as said above, I try my best to balance it with other nutritional regimens.
DETAIL FROM YOUR CRITERIA A HEALTHY MENU FOR THE DAY, BREAKFAST (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, SNACK, DINNER, DRINK ETC)
For a day, it is important that an individual eats all of the six classes of food in a very good amount. However, making a nutritional menu for 24 hours, I will do it like this.
TIMEFOOD
BreakfastBeans and pap with fruits like orange, or fries with ketchup
Mid-morningjuice of any type
Lunchboiled, fried plantain and vegetable sauce
Mid-afternoonsnacks like yoghurt and buns Or meat balls and orange juice
Dinnerjollof Rice and beans or eba and egusi soup with orange juice
30 minutes before bed timea glass of ginger and garlic tea or fruits like avocado

This is the food menu. For any body that wants a good nutrition.
It is important to note that there are different types of meal planning and this one is just for a person who wants to be healthy.

However, to be more healthy, it is adviceable go do moderate exercise.
