Let me tell the truth and from the bottom of my heart that I am over the moon of this theme.

Yeah, a part of my soul is cooking & fight with the frying pan in the kitchen, indeed. So that’s why I am a happy bunny join this adorable challenge.

1. What Is Your Favorite Ingredient ? The Most That Makes It Different From Others.

I couldn’t deny it, when I want to cook some foods, I have some of favorite ingredients. There are garlics, Asam Sunti, curry leaves, lemongrass, lemon & onion.

Asam Sunti made by Bilimbi averrhoa. In my hometown, Aceh you can easier found this trees for cooking. We use fresh Bilimbi averrhoa also for cooking some of Aceh Traditional Foods, indeed.

As I am a curry leaves lover, definitely

Yeah, in my point of view when we put those ingredients when we want to prepare & cook some foods, I personally believe it will makes our cooking savory and have a unique aroma plus have a good taste.

I am walking on air when I was watching one of cooking programs on television. I still remember that one of the great & popular chef from one of countries told that garlic is one of the best ingredients to make our foods tasty & yummy when we are cooking.

Besides that garlic will give a good aroma for our cooking & great for our health.

I am walking on air to used lemon when I want to cook something for my daily meals

When I want to cooked fish or sauteed broccoly with oyster, I do love to use lemon also. Sure, I did it with a biggest reason. The way I see lemon can make fresh the fish and also gave a good aroma plus make caramelized when we want to cook sauteed oyster with broccoli or some of foods when we are cooking.

No doubt, lemongrass also one of the best ingredients to make a great aroma & give a good taste for the foods when we want to cook in the kitchen.

There is onion, too. Usually I use this ingredient when I want to cook sauteed veggies, mushroom and oyster.

Definitely, I have a plenty of experiences about it when I was cooking in the big cities & in my house in Lhokseumawe City.

I am over the moon to cook mushroom then use chopped onion plus minced garlic as the main ingredients for my cooking

2. Is This Ingredient Often Used In Your Home ?

Absolutely, I often used those ingredients in my home. One of them is garlic, Asam Sunti, lemongrass & curry leaves. My mom, siblings and I used those ingredients mostly when we want to cook in our kitchen.

Yep, when you come to my house, mainly the kitchen you will found a bunch of garlics, Asam Sunti and lemongrass every single day. Yazz, I consider generally Acehnese keep those ingredients in their kitchen, include me. Ahaha...

Even if the simply cooking, such as to cook an omelette or make Rujak a.k.a. Aceh fruits salad we will used Asam Sunti in our home. Usually we minced it and mix it with shallots, cayenne pepper & chilies.

For your information sometimes some people blend it or use mortar to grind Asam Sunti & mix it with an omelette. Believe me, the taste is definitely unique & sure, yummy.

We often used curry leaves also in our cooking in our home. Yeah, to be honest I am addicted & seventh heaven of the aroma of curry leaves.

Usually my mom used this adorable leaves, I meant curry leaves & also Asam Sunti when she want to cook some foods, especially Aceh Traditional Foods namely Milkfish or Tuna Kuah Teucrah, tuna or mackerels chili sauce, Pepes, Tumis Aceh and so on.

So that’s why as her lovely daughter, I follow her when I want to cook something. Yep, I am a curry leaves lover, indeed. Example when I want to make tuna or mackerels chili sauce, fried chicken, I will put curry leaves on it. At the same time I ate it, too.

3. Is This Ingredient Expensive (Share Local Currency & On Steem) ?

Well, in this case I will share about one of Acehnese ingredient when we want to cook something, there is Asam Sunti. My lovely mom and my elder sisters told me that before Asam Sunti price is pretty cheap yet now is pretty expensive.

For a kilogram Asam Sunti the price is approximately IDR 36,000. If we convert to Steem is about 11.91 Steem.

Yeah, due to the fact that a few weeks ago my elder sister just bought Asam Sunti in Inpres Traditional Market what3words.com at Listrik street, Lhokseumawe, Aceh and for 2.5 ounces Asam Sunti the price is about IDR 9,000. If we convert to Steem is about 2.98 Steem

A few days ago my sibling me told me that the price of garlics for one kilogram is cheaper than several weeks ago, is about IDR 28,000. If we convert to Steem is about 9.26 Steem.

4. What Recipes Do You Prepare With Your Favorite Ingredient ?

Alright, in this moment I would like to share a simply cooking that I made five months ago. Yep, there is traditional omelette with Asam Sunti.

All the ingredients that we have to prepared are shallots, cayenne pepper, chilies, Asam Sunti plus eggs.

First at all we have to chopped those ingredients, such as shallots, cayenne pepper plus chilies & lime. Special for Asam Sunti, we have to minced it. Therefore I put all of them into the bowl and grind the spices with the spoon while push it.

Preparing some of ingredients to make traditional omelette with Asam Sunti

I crack the eggs then pour into the bowl with the spices last time. I stir it well till all of the spices plus eggs mixed. I heat the oil on the frying pan therefore cook the omelette.

Approximately five minutes later, traditional omelette with Asam Sunti already cooked and ready to eat. Hmmm..., the taste is yummy. This is one of my cup of tea, indeed.

However fellas, for your information, as long as I knew after living out in some of big cities that you can find Asam Sunti only in my hometown, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Even if you try to find in another cities, extremely rare & difficult.

Iya Dek, itu Kakak masak Jamur Champignonnya pas masih kerja di Bandung, pulang ngantor. Kalau di Aceh setau Kakak Jamur Champignon agak susah ditemukan penjualannya.
