Steemit Engagement Challenge S9-W4: || "My Favorite Ingredient" | #burnsteem25
Hello everyone I hope you all are doing well. I am here to share participation in the steemit engagement challenge season 9 week 4. Steemit Iron Chef always shares interesting engagement challenges that I love to participate and cooking is one of my favorite hobbies to do while at home.
I didn't get time to do cooking for many days due to a hectic study routine but I would like to share my recipes which I have already shared and my favorite ingredient which I used in my recipes.
They are our favorite ingredients and special ingredients that we used in our everyday recipes but there are some secret ingredients that we have to use for making our food delicious and yummy.
So I have learned these recipes through my mother and sister they both teach me about its benefit and how to make food delicious by adding them to any recipe.
My favorite ingredient which I used in most of my recipes is tomato. Tomatoes have a lot of benefits for our health. A few years ago I learned from my sister that adding tomatoes to rice and any recipe will make it juicy and can cook it in a better way.
I can't cook chicken properly so my sister guided me to add tomatoes in more quantity than I had already and then cook food at low flame. Then it will test more good and more yummy.
Most of the time we use tomatoes without boiling adding them in chopped form but it has more health benefits.
If we add them boiling reduces the risk of cancer, also improves our heart health, and enhances our brain functions or response.
Eating tomatoes on daily can provide you with nutrients that help you better function your body.
Always wash tomatoes before eating or cooking because they contain harmful chemicals that can be dangerous for our bodies like farmers use sprays that are made of chemicals for their ripening.
I prefer to use tomatoes in salad form because they taste so good that you can't imagine and always try to eat tomatoes with their skin. The skin of tomatoes is rich in nutrients and minerals that are important for our body.
Tomatoes have a very beneficial effect on weight loss as most of the weight loss recipes contain tomatoes either in chopped form or boiled form.
You can also get Vitamin C by eating tomato and by adding them to our food it makes our bones strong and provide us energy.
Yes, tomato is one of the ingredients which is used in every recipe and every day in our house. Because we can't complete our food without adding tomatoes. My mother loved to eat tomatoes either in the form of salad or adding them to food.
There was a time when the tomato rate was so high in the market that people were unable to cook food without adding tomatoes. We were one of them that can't cook without matters and we part by tomato and either add half or one piece. But we add it to our every recipe because it's become habitual to add to our every recipe.
I can't complete my recipes without adding tomatoes as I already told you we can't cook chicken without adding tomatoes. I love to cook Biryani which is liked by everyone at our home.
So I can't complete my biryani without adding tomatoes. I am the best biryani Chef in our home my mother loves to eat biryani that is cooked by me.
At first it was so cheap to buy tomatoes either in Pakistan or in any other country. But now it's expensive in Pakistan to buy tomatoes. In Pakistan rupees it ranging from 100 to 150 in our area. It's expensive because we get tomatoes in 50 Pkr rupees before increasing vegetable rates.

Here is the few foods which I cooked using tomatoes, as I mentioned already that I can't cooked my favorite recipes without tomatoes even I can't cooked simple gravy of vegetables without tomatoes.
These are the foods which I cooked includes, chicken spaghetti, Chicken Biryani, Fritters & Yogurt Curry, Mix vegetables pasta and Mutton mince pasta.

Tomatoes! One of those ingredients you can always depend on for giving an extra taste to your dishes.
Funny enough, I don't like fresh tomatoes but I LOVE cooking with tomato, fresh, puree, and even sun dried tomatoes. They are a MUST have for all chefs.
