The uziza leaves are very medicinal and gives a beautiful aroma and color to the food. When it has boiled a while, I bring the food down and it ready to me eaten.

THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF NATIVE OFOR SOUP

The Ofor soup is a very tasty native dish that’s generally eaten in Nigeria and it has great benefits. It’s generally used as a thickener and contains antioxidants. It’s rich in vitamins and minerals good for body building and helps to reduce glucose absorption in the body so it’s good for diabetes patients.

It contain vitamin c therefore helps to quicken the rate of healing of wounds in the body. Its leaves had healings properties too and the wood is used for furniture making.

If you are considering giving yourself an African treat, I think the native soup is the right place to start. I do hope you try it out one day. I invite @divinelife, @godzpoweriyke and @ruthjoe to Participate in this contest.
