Welcome to my entry for the beautiful Week 23 of the Gastronomic Photographic Challenge, hosted by amazing Mod @crisvera.

I present to you a special indigenous African dish I prepared with Soko (Lagos Spinach), Efo Riro Elemi Meta

This is an enriching vegetable Soup owned by the Yorubas, the Western part of Nigeria, Africa. It is cooked with the essential native spice, iru ( locust beans) and different animal proteins, which adds to the dish name. Elemi Meta means containing three animal proteins. I cooked this with smoked fish, crayfish and diced cowskin.

It is a delicacy that can never be missed in any Yoruba home and party, whether small or elaborate parties. It's the Choice dish readily available.

It is usually served with different swallows at parties: pounded yam,wheat meal and Semo.
At home, we also enjoy it with plain rice, garri, fufu (cassava meal), eko (corn meal), boiled plantain, boiled yam or boiled potatoes.

It is always a delightful delicacy ☺️.
I enjoy it a lot.
