Hockey is not a national sport in UK. But for me I like hockey, there are few reasons for that. First when I was little I went to ice-skating and while being on ice ring I learn how to skate and to do different figures. I love ice and the way how the blade of a skates are gliding on ice.
The same time when I was a child some of the boys from my school were playing hockey and because I has my ice-skates I also was a part of the team. Of course there is a big difference between the skates for jockey and figure ice-skating but you know for children it does not matter.
Cricket is a game that is well known in UK due to many citizens who are originally from India and Pakistan. They all still great fans and often we hear about the games and players. I still can not understand well how the game works and I do not think that this will be my favourite.
As to football, this is something that I also learnt when I was a child, for us it was not a matter what ball we had we just kicked it to the gate, although gate was drawn on a wall. We played with children from our neighbourhood and it was not matter if we are girls of boys.
Of course, Football is a popular national game therefore, every school has its own football team with for girls and boys. Of course, there are many cities around UK where football is more successful like Manchester or Liverpool teams therefore those people who live in those cities are very proud of their teams.
For me, nowadays I am not a great fan of any of these sport art.
I hope you also learnt something interesting today and I would like to invite @dave-hanny, @meriseptriyanti @djvijay for the contest.

It sounds like you really appreciate football! It's interesting how the sport brings people together, regardless of gender or background, especially in the community. Passion for local teams, especially in cities like Manchester and Liverpool, is a big part of the culture there.
Yes, I love football and it was my favourite sport in school, although that also required a good physical form, so needed to train regular.
Of course, after finishing school it is almost past :)
There must be a lot of memories of playing soccer at school, huh! If you get the chance, maybe you can try playing again
