The problem is not the heels! People - both men and women - struggle with uncomfortable, unsuitable shoes. Yet we only have these two feet that are supposed to carry us for a lifetime... On the other hand, there are incredibly comfortable high heels that you can wear for hours on end without any pain.
I expected a lot of resistance (read harsh comments) from ladies on this post but thanks for being so mild. I know ladies or even gents who wear high heels despite their height short or tall would never accept my views.
