Who developed the theory of evolution?

If you have ever been through high school and taken biology, then you must have come across the name of Darwin. Oh yes, the very same Charles Darwin who came up with the theory of evolution. Charles Darwin was born in England in 1809. The theory we are familiar with today is known as the "Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection."

Charles Darwin presented his theory in 1859 in his book "On the Origin of Species." This book revolutionized the scientific and biological thinking globally. Darwin argued that everything in this world undergoes a process of change and develops a mechanism to survive the environment.

The concept of natural selection is that organisms struggle for existence. The more 'fit' individuals live longer, and the traits that make them 'fit' are passed on to the next generation (survival of the fittest). This process takes a long time, and species gradually develop over time.

Today in modern science, DNA and genetic studies have given even more substantial evidence to Darwin's theory. It has been demonstrated how genes change and are inherited through natural selection. The most interesting fact is that when Darwin presented his theory, there was no proper understanding of genetics at all.

Which country is the world's largest producer of milk?

If it is about milk and the name of India is not included, then that cannot be possible. Yes, it is true that India is the largest producer of milk in the world. This is something you may not have known – but let me enlighten you today; the production of milk is very rife in the villages as well as cities of India. India has the largest amount of milk production in the world with over 200 million tonnes annually. This number is even higher than combined sum of other countries in the world.

Now think, with such a large population, milk production has to be that high, and besides, milk and dairy products are a significant part of the Indian diet. Tea, curd, ghee, paneer - all these things are included in everyday food. Thus, today dairy farming and milk production has emerged as a major and important sector in India.

It can be said that the dairy farming in India is not just a business but a way of life. At every home in the village, you will get to see two or three cows or buffaloes at least. They are treated like members of the family and are given attention and care like any other member of the family. You may know, Amul is a very big brand of India in dairy products field. The full form of Amul is 'Anand Milk Union Limited' and it has been a key motivator in India's milk revolution which is known as the 'White Revolution'.

Which country has the largest reserves of gold minerals?

USA has the largest mined gold reserves in the world. Fort Knox located in the United States contains the largest official gold reserves in the entire world. Fort Knox is in Kentucky and nearly 147 million ounces of gold are held there. Such gold reserves are safeguarded so well that the people have developed a number of myths and conspiracy theories around it. But the fact is that Fort Knox is one of the most secure areas on the planet Earth.

Gold is not only a commodity that is used for investment and as a safe haven but also has cultural and historical significance across the globe. In various cultures, people have attributed the properties of gold to prosperity, power, and even divinity.

In today's modern world, the uses of gold have increased even further. Gold is not only used in jewelleries and coins, but in electronics and technologies as well where the conductivity and chemical inactivity of the metal are valued. Its conductivity is high and does not corrode and because of this it is very useful and that is why it is demanded.
