Matriculation was a milestone marking the beginning of my academic journey, a transition from the familiar confines of high school to the vast and exciting realm of university life. It was on the 17th of February, 2023, the day was filled with a whirlwind of emotions – anticipation, nervousness, and a tinge of excitement for the day that lay ahead. I got set for the day since I was in the last batch which was by 12:30. As I approached the campus, I was greeted by a a lot of unfamiliar faces, each filled with the same mix of emotions that I was experiencing. The atmosphere was filled with energy as students and their families were trying to find their way to the auditorium.

Amid disorderliness and confusion among students, there was a sense of close friendship among my fellow matriculants because that day also opened grounds for us to make new friends, I met these two beautiful girls who were lost like me trying to locate our left from right. We were all embarking on this journey together, bound by a shared sense of ambition and curiosity. I felt quite good to know that I wasn't alone in navigating the challenges of university life. The official matriculation ceremony was a solemn affair, marked by speeches from university officials and words of wisdom from guest speakers, we sang our national anthem, closing remark, and then recession.

As I stood among my peers, clad in the matriculation cap and gown, I felt this sense of pride and accomplishment. This was the attainment of years of hard work and dedication, and I was ready to embrace the opportunities that lay ahead.
Looking back, my matriculation was more than just a ceremony; it was a rite of passage, marking the beginning of a transformative journey filled with new experiences, lifelong friendships, and endless possibilities. It was a day I will always cherish as the starting point of my academic and personal growth.

I thank you my readers for taking out time to read my entry, do well to drop your comments and feedback as they will be greatly appreciated.
I invite my friends @ekemini01, @zekanem, and @pandora2010 to participate in this contest.
