The struggles of disharmony

This family has never been one to agree on anything, they always found a way to pick a fight about everything. In fact, that was their specialty, fault finding, picking fights.
This went on and on for years and the home they once had became just a house of fighters. But then, something happened......what happened??

Peace happened. The kind of peace that comes after a storm.
Just like every other problem, this one also has it's source. This family, the Matthews, was once a peaceful home full of four happy faces, both parents inclusive. The troubles began with the death of their mother, Mrs Margaret.

The Matthews was a known name, know for being wealthy and respected by many. The Matthews had two children, two girls precisely; Jessica and Sandra with Jessica being the first daughter. Jessica led a wayward life right after the death of their mother while Sandra mostly led a quiet life.

Their mum, Mrs Margaret was the life of the family. Her presence had y way of making everything right. She took care of the family passionately right to her dying bed.
This death destabilized Jessica, the eldest daughter who was the closest to the mum. To deal with this pain, she resulted into drugs, drinking, and doing anything contrary to what she's told.

She hated the dad for his absence during the death of his wife. This bitterness and pain kept growing and it destroyed the peace in the family until the dad took ill.
Mr Matthew was earlier diagnosed of a heart disease but never told anyone. He took responsibility of the family and never disturbed anyone with his problems.

This took a toll on his health and he was admitted into the hospital where he gambled a 50-50 chance of survival. This news brought a certain calmness to family, one that allowed Sandra the time to finally explain to Jessica the reason for their dad's absence at the time their mum died.
Apparently, the dad travelled to get a rare, expensive, and needed medication prescribed by the doctor to improve the chance of survival for his wife. He got the medications but couldn't make it back on time and arrived a day after the wife's death.

This was very painful and sad for him but he was skilled at not visibly showing his feelings so it was easier for Jessica to hate me blame him.
Hearing the real story, Jessica realized her hatred and anger towards the dad was undeserved. She realized she only did that as a coping mechanism which was unfair to everyone.

This moment of epiphany brought about a positive change in her attitude which also led to a positive change in Sandra's attitude towards her and finally, a positive change in the family.
The dad, seeing the positive change in his family, recovered more speedily. He was placed on certain medications and was discharged. With the joy and togetherness back in the family, he got better in no time.

The once ununited family finally overcame the struggles of disharmony and experienced the happiness of happily ever after.

A good pattern of arranging this story to make me read through, I think first the hospital should be sued for not taking responsibility of going to get the drugs themself, of what function are there, if the drugs is rare is means no pharmacist would sell it to Jessica's dad without the doctors approval and I knew he got that but the problem here is don't the hospital have other alternatives to sustain the womans life, I feel sad for those beautiful children for losing their mother, I have learnt that blame should be directed on someone with knowing the rationale behind the problem. Goodluck dear

Thank you!

Indeed, when situations like this happen, you look back and see the many "ifs" and chances that might have made it a different story or changed the outcome but then, life happens.
We have no control on the past, we can only work to make today and tomorrow better and happier.

Thanks for stopping by!
