Contest - "FREEDOM"

Hello and good morning my steemit friends all over the world and a happy weekend to you all as well.
Whoever that says he/she doesn't enjoy freedom is not being truthful to him/her self, be it humans being or animals does not like to be confined to one place.
I must appreciate @aaliarubab for organizing this contest on the topic of "Freedom", this topic deep and broad and it is not only applicable to a country being free.

I'll be sharing my views on what the topic entails...

✊What does the concept of "freedom" mean to you personally?

Freedom is a state of being free; it could be in the absence of coercion, compulsion, restraint in your actions or choices.
It could also be setting free from slavery or hostage. Or freedom could be a political right of a country.

Note:-

You can be free from somebody or something, the emphasis here is "From".

You can be free also to do something, emphasis is "to do" and

You can also be free to be or become, who we were meant to be. Emphasis on "be"

Freedom can be exercise in different areas of our lives;
• We can be Free from a bad relationship or marriage.

• Freedom from a toxic working environment; for instance I just resigned from my job because a toxic working environment, it is as if a yoke is being lifted off my shoulders, I enjoy peace

• My darlings we can also be free from family pattern, generational curses, inherited sickness(let's say if your family had history on any terminal ailment, it is likely for the sickness to reoccur in the future generations) so as a Christian we are admonished to pray and cancel a repeated sickness.

• We are free from sin and condemnation, because our Lord Jesus Christ has paid the price on the cross of Calvary(for Christians), therefore we are saved by His Grace.

✊Is Freedom a fundamental right?

In the affirmative, Yes. That's why we have the freedom to go anywhere we want(freedom of movement), we are free to say anything, at any given point in time(freedom of expression), we have the freedom to worship anything or any being (freedom of worship).

We have the freedom to vote and also be voted.

Because of freedom to do anything one pleases, a person can just wake up one day and decided to kill him/herself by commiting suicide. You can imagine that, taking a life he/she never created. Forgetting that they would answer to their Maker(God) one day.

Please let us not abuse these freedom(s) and privileges given to us.

✊Do you believe that your country is enjoying freedom or is it influenced by extended factors?

Yes my country Nigeria is enjoying freedom.
Nigeria gained her independence in 1st October 1960 from the British rule(that's the United Kingdom) under the leadership of (Abubakar Tafawa Balewa as the prime minister) through one of our past heroes Anthony Enahoro who pioneered the independence, that is why he's been regarded by many academics and Nigerians as the "Father of Nigeria".

Greed is one of the characteristics of human beings, as such my country is suffering from the hands of some greedy persons who do not really want the growth and betterment of the masses but want to enrich their pockets. But we are still praying and hoping for a better Nigeria that would be devoid of strife, greed and selfishness.

✊If your nation enjoys freedom today,(if not), what is the inspiring story(external factors) behind it's success (defeat).

My country is still going through development, that's why we are being referred to as underdeveloped country, we don't have what it takes to be developed but we are getting there hopefully.

I will still say that we are enjoying freedom to a certain point, as I said earlier that freedom is being seen in different areas of one's life, not necessarily on government and politics. If we are not enjoying freedom we won't be walking about freely going about our normal activities.

The inspiring story behind my country success to a point (please I hope you don't expect me to tongue lash my country) is God. As a nation we don't rule out the "God factor" from our lives and dealings. And this has been out anchor.
