Today I had gone to the market to buy some things, suddenly my eyes were drawn when I saw one of my friends Santosh roaming around in the market. I had not seen him for many years. We were together during our college days but then due to livelihood we all got separated from each other. I called him from behind, he turned and when he saw me, he came running towards me and hugged me.
We both talked for a long time about each other's well being and then Santosh told me that now he is posted in this city, but before this he was posted in Bhopal city and he also told me that Anjali also lives in Bhopal, he had met her there once.
As soon as I heard about Anjali from Santosh, my heart started tugging. But to know this story I will have to take you back a little 6 years.
Both of us, Anjali and I, were doing our MSc from the same college. Anjali was the most simple and lonely girl in my class. She never talked to anyone much.
Our lectures were always together and we often met in the library. I liked her innocence and seriousness. And I started getting attracted towards her. One day, I talked to her on the pretext of taking notes. She also listened to my problem very attentively and told me its solution.
Then we started meeting each other and slowly she also started getting attracted towards me. And then I don't know when this attraction of ours turned into a deep love.
It was our final year of college when one day she told me very sadly that her family has arranged her marriage with a businessman and she will get married immediately after the completion of college.
I felt very bad to hear this. My heart was agitated. She was also crying but we both could not do anything. Then after college, she got married, and I could not do anything, I just kept getting news about her that she is not happy with her husband.
And today again, hearing her name from Santosh, my whole body is tingling, I started feeling a strong desire to meet her, I took her address from Santosh and after two days, I reached Bhopal to meet her.
With great fear, I knocked on the door of her house, it was afternoon time, coincidentally she was alone at home at that time, she opened the door herself and was surprised to see me standing at the door, suddenly finding her in front of me after so many years, I also had a lot of difficulty in hiding the feelings of my heart. She very politely called me inside and came and sat on the sofa in front of me.

There was silence for a long time, then I asked her "Are you okay, are you happy, your husband loves you, I have heard that he does not love you"
She remained silent and then said "Ashutosh, did you get married? Who is your wife, how is she?"
She must be very beautiful.
I sighed and replied to her "No, I did not get married, it was just that after you left from there, I did not like any girl".
There was a tear in her eyes, and she said "Ashu, get married soon, otherwise my soul will curse me after my death, this life is useless without a life partner, and yes, my husband loves me immensely"
I felt a little strange and I said to her "why are you saying this, may God give you a life of 100 years"
She again said "No Ashu, I have 3rd stage cancer, and my husband has tried everything to save my life, he loves me immensely, he has spent all his money for me." I would like to see you in the bond of marriage before I die.
Listening to her words, tears started flowing from my eyes, and she kept looking at me with her sad eyes.
My life became meaningful after going there and I returned from there with great sorrow.
Thanks for reading my post .
With regards

Heart touching Story.... It's amazing how you reconnected with your friend Santosh and then got to meet Anjali again after so many years. It's clear that your love for her never faded, and it's tragic that she's going through so much pain with her illness. Her desire to see you happy and married before she passes away is a testament to her selfless love.
Your story is a reminder to cherish our loved ones and make the most of the time we have with them. Thank you for sharing this emotional and thought-provoking experience. My heart goes out to you and Anjali. May God grant her more time and less suffering.

Now this is a very sad ending story.🤐
One thing I noted this storyline is similar to Pakistani writers. Or maybe our Indian writers think in a similar fashion. Well, the end was good. I like the behavior of Anjali. She is loyal to her husband. That's the most charming point of the whole story.
Thank You very much for reading and nicely commenting to my story, this is only the starting I will show you more happy ending.
thanks again.
