"One Picture And One Story Week #40"

This is the story of the water stream that came out from inside Mani Karan Sahib, a magnificent Gurudwara situated on the hills of Himachal Pradesh in our country. I had the good fortune of visiting this place on 13 May 2022.

This place is like the heaven of our imagination. It is called a Gurudwara [Gurudwara is the place of worship of the people of the Sikh community] but people of any religion or sect are not prohibited from coming here.

This place is a very holy pilgrimage site. Throughout the year, lakhs of people come here to pay obeisance and fulfill their wishes. It is said that everyone's wishes are fulfilled here.

By the way, I did not go there to fulfill any wish, I only went there to realize the supernatural and divine power of this place. And to tell you the truth, as soon as I reached this place, after seeing the scenery here, I felt that this place is really no less than a heaven.

At this place, there is a provision of free food and accommodation for all the devotees and visitors. The managers of this place have opened a 24/7 food langar for all the people visiting this place.

Not even a single rupee is charged for a full meal. And there are many rooms and big halls for staying here, in which anyone can come and stay for as many days as he wants.

There is also a very good arrangement for parking of vehicles. This place is located at a distance of 488 kilometers from the capital of India, Delhi. The nearest railway station from here is Pathankot, which is in the state of Punjab.

Now I have to tell you why this place is so holy, because this place is surrounded by snow-covered mountains on both sides, and a stream flows near this holy place, the specialty of this stream is that when it passes through the middle of this holy place, people's skin diseases are cured by bathing in its water.

Inside this holy place, there is a big lake of water from the stream and devotees take bath in it.

And one very special thing is that the water of this stream is so hot at one place that if any grain like rice, lentils are put in it by making a cloth bundle, then they boil and become edible in a minute.

Actually, at the origin of this stream, there is a storehouse of sulphur due to which the water keeps boiling and it becomes a suitable cure for charm diseases.

My life became meaningful after going there.
