SEC-S17 /W4| "Why do you Prefer Steemit Only?

Hello Steemians,
I welcome you all to week 4 of the Steemit engagement challenge for season 17. Just like the previous week's, this week also presents us with a wonderful topic, and I will be making my entry on this wonderful topic today.

The topic this week is, Why do you Prefer Steemit Only? As a Steemian I should be able to give concrete or suitable reasons why I prefer Steemit to other social media platforms. I'm delighted that I have also worked on a similar platform like Steemit so I can write better on this I guess.

✍️ What were your hopes while signing up for Steemit for the first time?

My hope while signing up for Steemit for the first time was to learn and earn from the platform. When I was introduced to the platform, I was told that it is a platform that pays users for sharing their knowledge and thoughts.

So when signing in, all that came to my mind was to make money from the platform. So I had hopes of making good money and also using the money earned from the platform to start a business and assist as many who are in need.

Also, I had the hopes of learning from the platform as well because since the platform is a place where you will share your knowledge and earn, I believe there are many more who will share their knowledge as well and for that reason, I was hoping that I will learn from people across the world as well.

So the two main reasons are my hopes when I was signing into the platform. However, I saw more opportunities when I joined the platform such as making new friends and building stronger relationships with people within and outside my dear country Nigeria.

✍️ What challenges are faced while achieving your financial or blogging goals?

Well, there are lots of challenges that I have faced as I continued my blogging journey among which include envy, jealousy, and lack of support. Within the Steemit platform, I have discovered that some just joined but want to at all means reach the height that someone who has been blogging for years has reached, and because of this, they will do anything to make sure your growth stops and they continue getting support.

Envy and jealousy are the issues that I faced strongly from Steemians most especially those who wanted to get noticed by all means. I have seen this recently with others as well within the platform. A lot of people within the platform now are bent on ensuring they bring down others for them to grow.

Also, at some point in my blogging on the platform, my support size was completely different from the bigger curators. Though I knew I wasn't the only one on the platform hence I didn't take it to heart because I knew others too needed to be supported. So I kept blogging and then getting the little support I was getting and that helped me to grow.

✍️ Your inspiration on Steemit?

My goal on Steemit was initially to make money and also learn from people within the Steemit platform but after staying on the platform for a while I discovered that there is more to the platform aside from what I initially pictured.

So my inspiration for the platform includes the friends I have made on the platform so far and near, the things I have learned on the platform, and also my desire to grow my account and use it to support other users within the Steemit platform.

These are what keep me going on the platform. I love to see people changing their lives with Steemit and that is why anywhere I find myself, I tell people about the platform, and those who are interested in blogging always start the journey.

I don't also just introduce and leave them, I make sure I guide them to the last even to the point of doing their transaction. This makes me really happy when I see them progress because they always feel happy for my presence in their lives and that is where I derive satisfaction.

✍️ Your happy story due to Steemit?

Steemit is no doubt one of the best platform in the world. My story began the very moment I joined the platform. Though there are period where I felt some challenges but those challenge are what made me stronger and determine to achieve my goals.

One of the moments I will always remember is the period where I used a month and few weeks to achieve 5K SP. As an active and dedicated Steemian, I worked tirelessly in about 4 different communities and that aided me to achieve that goal.

Also, I have always feel happy when those I bring to the platform or those who are under my guide are doing very well on the platform. I have seen a friend who I introduced on the platform supporting the family greatly by buying a lot of things in the house.
