SEC-S17 /W2| "What if you were the president of your country?"
Sometimes in life, we assume and wish things were the way we planned or the way we wanted them. That is the reason why some people say if their wishes were horses.
It is the second week of the Steemit engagement challenge for season 17 and I'm delighted to be among those sharing their participation today. This week the topic sounds very interesting What if you were the president of your country?
Truly I say to you, if I were the president, there are lots of things I could have done but I will still talk about them below as the contest hints provided room for that. So let's get started.
| ✍️ If you were the president of your country, what would be your top three priorities and why? |

If I happen to be the president of my country Nigeria today, there are 3 things that I consider a priority and I would like to discuss below one after the other so that you will know the reason I have chosen them.
Security: One of the things I will want to consider as my number one priority is the Security of life and property. In Nigeria currently, the security of life and property is not as much as expected because we see lives treated daily and property destroyed.
So this aspect is the number to take into serious consideration. So to do this properly, I will recruit more security officers so that we will have enough number of person to carry out this task effectively.
Educational Sector: It is said that the backbone of any nation is proper education and if that is true then I guess to build my country, I will have to prioritize education more. So this will be the next thing I will be channeling my effort to.
So how am going to be doing that? Firstly I will ensure that only qualified teachers are recruited to train others and also every household will have free education for at least one person in each family.
Lastly, I will try as much to make available good facilities to enable learning to go well in the various institutions. So with all these, I believe that education will improve.
Health sector: Another sector I would like to look into is the health sector. It is said that health is wealth so if my people in the country are healthy enough then more production can be done in terms of farm products and others.
Also, free medical assistance will be given to all families so that we fight any sickness that will be coming in any way affecting the people of the land. So these are the 3 major ways or plans I have to make the country a better one than it is at the moment.

As I have stated in the paragraphs above, in the case of the educational Sector, I will ensure that only qualified and we'll deserving candidates get the job of lecturing or teaching in the school.
Also, I will ensure that I provide standard education for all members of the country by providing all the equipment needed for a more suitable education. I will provide a good laboratory, a good library, and many more and a conducive learning environment.
In the case of the health sector, I will provide modern equipment for health and also ensure that real and good doctors who know their job will be employed to take charge and ensure they save lives.
Free medical care or checkups will be done for everyone within the country and in that way we may not record any case of sickness or spread of any infection as it is right now in the country.

The major challenge I will face in improving the overall condition of my country is the different political parties that will try to sabotage all the effort I will be putting into building the nation because it's not their party member that wins the election.
Here they will do anything in their power to ensure that every good plan I come up with doesn't hold because I'm not their party member. Political parties here think only about their selves.
So when all these challenges come, it will spoil my governance as a person and that won't be too good because they will feel I'm not competent to handle the task. This won't speak well of me because of that.

Yes, I will do something new. As I have stated above the major problem I will be having is the problem of different political parties so what I will do to avert this problem is to ensure that I solve the other political and it will be left with just one political part so that the goal of the country will be one.
Coming up with one system or one political party will help us to avert and stop all the issues and divisions within the country. So that is the one thing I will do to unite the entire people of the land so that we can see ourselves as one.

As the President of Nigeria, my top priorities would be security, education, and healthcare. I would focus on increasing the number of security officers to ensure the safety of all citizens. Additionally, I would implement free education for all households and provide better facilities for learning. In terms of healthcare, I would hire qualified doctors and provide free medical assistance to all families.
However, improving these sectors will not be without challenges. Political parties may try to obstruct my efforts due to their own interests. This divisive political landscape could hinder my ability to make positive changes for the country. Overcoming this challenge would require finding ways to unite the different factions and focus on the common good of Nigeria.
In order to address this challenge and make a lasting impact, I would propose the idea of unifying all political parties under one system. By creating a single political entity, we can eliminate the divisive nature of politics in Nigeria and work together towards a common goal. This bold move would not only pave the way for a more cooperative and productive governance, but also set a new precedent in the history of the country.
In conclusion, my presidency would be dedicated to improving the security, education, and healthcare systems in Nigeria. By overcoming political challenges and promoting unity, I aim to leave a legacy of progress and prosperity for all citizens. Through innovative ideas and a commitment to the common good, I would strive to rewrite the history of Nigeria for the better.

It's great to know your positive thoughts about your country, everyone loves their country because it's our real home, it's our refuge, so we only think about its improvement, like You said in your presentation that if you were the president of Nigeria, you would bring three kinds of changes, that is, you have talked about three kinds of aspects, health, economic system and education.
