One Picture And One Story Week #63
Hello 🤗 guys, I welcome you all to my blog today. Today, I want to join the contest with the title One Picture And One Story This contest was organized by the @suboohi.
It was on a Saturday morning when my siblings wanted going to the farm to harvest cassava which they will use to produce fufu. I haven't been in the village for a while now so they thought I have forgotten how to do the farm work.
They told me that I should stay back at home while they go and harvest the cassava as well as the potatoes we will cook for that morning. I smiled and said to them that I'm still very strong and can do whatever work they are thinking of.
So in other not to stress me much they said if I insist on going then I will have to just harvest the potatoes behind the house and then cook it for them so that when they come back from harvesting the cassava they will have something to eat. I agreed with them so I decided to get my hole and then go straight into the farm just behind our house.
The image above which I'm writing on today is the image that I took while trying to harvest the potatoes in the farm. The hole you see me using is what they use here to harvest potatoes. I was able to harvest a complete ridges of potatoes which gave me the needed one which will be enough for everyone if we cook it.
After harvesting it, I took time and ensure I checked through the ridges very well to be sure that no potatoes is left and when I was sure that I have done justice to it I went ahead to pack the entire thing back to the house where I prepared it for my siblings to eat immediately they came back from harvesting their own cassava.
It was a beautiful experience going back to the farm after many years. I thought myself that I couldn't do the work well but I ended up doing a perfect job and they applauded me for the job well done. It is an experience I really enjoyed.
