The Majestic Polar Bear: A Great Insight into Their Life Styles
The polar bear, magnificent animal of the Arctic, is perfectly suited to the demand of its environment. The short temperature we experience they may consider it unbearable, the animals favor areas with temperature that may even go as low as -50 degrees Celsius (-58 Fahrenheit). Just how much frost tolerance do these tremendous beasts possess?
People can say that polar bears are native to the Arctic area. The most affected countries are Russia, Canada, USA, Alaska, Norway and Greenland with high population of polar bears. These countries prove to be important preservers of this special kind of animals. Which of these countries has the largest population of the polar bear do you think?

As for about the question of their preferred fruit, polar bears do not have a preference but their preferred fruit as there is none; polar bears feed on seal. But they do feed on berries from time to time should they be found in their environment. What do they like most, between fruits and how does this connect with their main meals?
It’s the biggest bear in the world and inhabits one of the harshest locations on this planet. Introducing their physiological attributes for weather endurance, geographical peculiarities, and less-known food preferences, this article will explain the peculiarities of the polar bears’ lifestyle.
What Do Polar Bears Know About Bearing Extreme Cold?
One of the questions I had to ask myself wasn’t, however, how the polar bear can live in such low temperatures, but how this animal has become the most persistent in the Arctic. The skin of the bear, although thickly furred and with a layer of blubber, allows it to live at temperatures that most humans would find almost beyond the imagination.
Their fur is made up of two layers: a long and thick undercoat with short hairs surrounding it. The thick underlayer of fur also retains air to form an insulating layer that favours the bear against freezing cold. The fur is also waterproof so they do not have to change their status from cold environment to warmer if they are in the water and/or fishing for food. So that is why it is crucial that they adapt to the cold in order to survive and reproduce in the extreme cold environment of the Arctic.
Anther important adaptation which enables polar bear experience harsh weather is blubber or fat reserves that surround the bear’s body. This insulating layer can measure between 4 to 5.5 cm of thickness; this varies depending on the bear and time of the year. The blubber layer during the coldest time of the year may be as thick as 10 cm! The blubber layer not only insulates an Arctic besar but also sustains it during the extended times that it cannot forage.
top 5 Countries where Polar bears are found
We do not want to postpone any farther more information about polar bears and cold temperature, so let us turn to the countries with the highest population of these fascinating animals.
Russia – Russia itself is said to accommodate about 30% of the world’s polar bear population, the largest of any country in the world. The denning area of these bears is mainly in the Svalbard archipelago, the New Siberian Islands, and along the north coast of the Russian portion of the associated Eurasian continent.
Canada – There are about 15000 polar bears in about ten regions and sub–regions of Canada’s and they are mostly in the western hudson bay, Southern baffin bay and Beaufort sea.
United States (Alaska) – The region has about 3,000 polar bears and most of them in coastal regions hence Chukchi Sea, seas of Beaufort, Bering Sea.
Norway – On the Svalbard archipelago in the kingdom of Norway there are approximately 3000 polar bears inhabiting the Arctic region. This group of islands is located in the Arctic Ocean and to the north of the mainland; its severe climate is suitable for these bears.
Greenland – As mentioned the above five countries, Greenland has the last identification of having a population of polar bears. Of around 2,000 such animals, this island is an autonomous Danish dependency that is located in the region where polar bears are known to live.
The fact polar bears are occurring in these five countries shows just how important the nations are when it comes to protecting them. Numbers in the wild are important for the cold biome and the complex instances of animals, plants and people, in the Arctic.
polar bear diets and there favourite meal
In regard to polar bears favorite fruit, it is imperative to note that the bears in question, do not eat fruits all. Seals form their main food source, which they rely upon for their nutrients and energy in the severely unforgiving conditions in which they live. While they interact with other species, polar bears have been observed eating berries such as cloudberries and cranberries. They are able to fill in and balance their diet through a infrequent fruit tree as this opportunistic feeding lets them.
In light of this, polar bears can generally be said to occupy their ecological niche well, to survive low temperatures, to feed mainly on seals and to be found in several countries with large populations. These adaptations coupled with the habitat indicate the importance of the Arctic wildlife especially these splendid animals and preserving these animal habitats is very significant for continuity of the region’s health and all its occupants.
Unlike the case with most modern kitchens may not be aware of their favorite fruit, the polar bears have their favorite place to be and this is the most challenging environment called the Arctic. They insist on this in order to guarantee that generation of fag endactors will continue to stay strong and productive in the selected domain indefinitely. Understanding and appreciating these mighty creations of nature and where they call home also gives a window of opportunity to conserving the species and the amazing wonder we have for them.
