Craft with recycled material | Kerosene Lamp
My dear Steemians, good day to each of you. Today I am going to participate in another lovely competition organized by Steem for Pakistan Community. Dear @sualeha, this is my first post in this community. You've chosen a fantastic subject that is really helpful to people who are house-made like us. I appreciate you inviting me to participate in this contest, @m-fdo. Now let us move to the topic.
It is a great idea to make something useful out of recycled materials. Today I am going to share with you how to create a kerosene oil lamp from discarded Jam bottle. Due to the current global crisis, the entire world is currently experiencing power outages. Therefore, I believe this craft will greatly benefit our ladies.
Required materials |
---|
- discarded Jam bottle
- A piece of cloth
- A sharp knife
- A spike like a nail
- A small cylinder made from a piece of tin
- A piece of cloth
The way of creating the kerosene oil lamp |
---|
First 1
First of all, make a hole in the center of the jam bottle lid with a sharp knife as shown in the image. Then enlarge it big using a spike. The lighting holder will then be created by putting a tiny cylinder through the opening as shown below. This component is used to hang the lampshade.

Step 2
Pick the cloth and create the lamp wick as shown in the image. Then, after putting this wick through the cylinder, the lighting wick will be created.

Step 3
Get some kerosene, pour it into a jam bottle, and then secure the lid as in the picture. Light the wick and use it when the power goes off.
My wonderful companions, I hope everyone understood how this lamp was made using recycled jam bottles. I hope this is a very simple and useful craft. If you enjoyed reading this content, please leave a comment.
