What do you understand by the word Afcon?
Afcon means, African Cup of Nations. This is a football competition that is set for only African countries and it is played every two years time. The last Afcon was played in Ivory Coast, the host country won the trophy by beating the Super Eagles by two goals to one.
Talk about two African countries (except Nigeria and Ivory Coast) that participated in the 2023/24 Afcon.

Senegal participated in this year's competition, though they were the defending champion of the competition. The Senegal team was among the favorites to win the competition because their team even before the Afcon started was playing well and the professional footballers in their team made them a favorite.

Morocco also participates in the competition. This Moroccan team was the number one favorite to win the Afcon this year, due to their performance in the just concluded world-up display last year. They played very well on the world stage, and no one will rule them out of the tournament just like that.
With the experienced players and coaches they have, their display in the last concluded World Cup, shows a sign of them dominating the game of football in Africa and the world.
Which country do you think will host the next Afcon?
I picked Morocco to be the next host of the Afcon because I know that they can host it. They have good stadiums that are up to standard and have the right atmosphere, I did not see any weak point that will stop them from hosting it.
What do you have to say about Nigeria not winning the Afcon after getting to the final stage?
While Nigeria played well as we did not expect them to even play in the final of the competition, the reason why I have to give them a good remark is that they play as a team and the bond among the players, coaches, and supporters is what made them play in the final of the competition.
But the reason why they did not win the final is their tactics that the coach deployed, I expected the coach to play an attacking football, but he decided to play a defensive style of football. They have already played Ivory Coast using the system, I guess Ivory Coashasve already studied their pattern of play.
The final shows that there is still a lot of work to do for the team to win this tournament in in the next two years to come. But the performance was good.

Seriously everyone expected Morocco to won this year AFCON, Morocco was something else in the last world cup even eliminated big team honestly I was shocked when they got eliminated at early stages but it's football anything can happen, who expects Nigeria to reach finally but they did.
Nigerian super eagle did play well no doubt, in football anything can so it's not a new thing, all eyes on 2025 AFCON.
