My Eid Al Adha 2025.
I am @saifuddinmahmud from Bangladesh. I am excited to join this contest. The contest name is How was your Eid Al Adha 2025. The contest organised by honorable @abdullahw2. I am going to join this contest. I hope everyone will like my post.
The holy Eid-ul-Adha is a festival of sacrifice, a heart-wrenching worship, which is permeated with the fragrance of the immaculate obedience of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him). This Eid is not limited to animal sacrifice but its underlying message is the lesson of sacrifice, compassion and the realization of rights. Especially, the attitude of responsibility towards relatives and neighbors is one of the lessons of this Eid.
How did you celebrate the first day of Eid Al Adha 2025? (Briefly describe your day with pictures.)
On the day of Eid ul Azha, I woke up at 4:20 am. I performed ablution and went to the mosque to offer Fajr prayers. After returning home from the mosque, I lay down for a while. Then I took a bath. After taking ablution, I put on Punjabi pajamas. My son and I wore the same color Punjabi. We put on Punjabi pajamas and headed towards the Eidgah ground.
We reached the Eidgah. It is Sunnah to go to the field to pray. So we went to the Eidgah field and prayed. Before the prayer, the Khatib Sahib discussed for some time about the virtues of Qurbani, the rules for distributing meat, etc.
About 4000-5000 people prayed Eid in this field. It is very nice to pray Eid prayers together with so many people.People from almost all areas of our village come here to pray. This Eidgah ground is a very old and historic Eidgah ground.
After the Eid prayers, I hugged and met many of my brothers, uncles, and relatives. I exchanged greetings with them and took pictures.
you offer Qurbani (sacrifice)? If yes, what animal? Don't forget to share a picture of your animal.
Yes, by the infinite mercy of Allah, we have achieved the ability to offer sacrifice. My brother, father, and I all went to the cattle market to buy a cow.We saw a lot of cows. We were very interested in buying bulls and cows. So we started looking at bulls and cows and haggling with the sellers.
Alhamdulillah, we finally bought this cow. We haggled with the cow seller and bought the cow. It was a bull cow. My brother and I brought the cow home.
After buying the cow, I took it to the field and fed it with grass for a while. Then I brought it and tied it up next to our house.
What are your favourite dishes to prepare and enjoy during the Eid days?
Many people eat sacrificial beef with many things. However, the most favorite food of all my family members, including me, is beef with rice flour white bread. This is not only our family's first choice. This is a favorite food of all the families in our village. Everyone eats this food themselves on Eid and the day after Eid and also serves it to their guests.
Another interesting thing is being cooked. Its name is Nehari. It is cooked with parts of the cow's leg. My mother has started cooking it.
How important is to distribute sacrificial meat among other people?
The meat of the sacrifice must be distributed among the neighbors who have not sacrificed. This is the direction of Islam and social responsibility. We also distributed meat among 8 families in our neighborhood. We distributed 1 kg to each family.
Along with this, I facilitated this by giving some money to a social organization. They will buy a cow and distribute its meat among the families in the area who could not afford to sacrifice.
Thanks to everyone who read my post. Enjoy your Eid days.
