In my last post I discussed an skeletal abnormality and today I am here again for the purpose of sharing another skeletal abnormality and this abnormality relates to a nerve and we all know that there are different nerves present in our body we all know.

We all know that when we talk about wrist then we talk about hand and a joint from where we can bend our hand and wrist joint is a joint that is present between our arm and hand and if we talk deeply then we can say that it is present between our forearm and hand.
There are different nerves present in human body and some nerves are those that originate from vertebrae and we know there are cervical vertebras numbers there are sacral vertebrae and then coccyx bone.
Wrist drop occurs due to extension of an nerve that originates from cervical vertebras and I am not saying that wrist drop occurs directly due to another that originates from cervical region. Basically there is a nerve branch from brachial plexus which is called redeal nerve and wrist drop occurs due to injury of radial nerve or palsy of radial nerve.
There can be different treatments you can give to a patient who have wrist drop and we know that there is radial nerve palsy so we have to give rest to affected wrist so there should be splint for keeping wrist in place.
Secondly for relief of pain we can use heat therapy as well as if we talk about medications then we can use drugs that can decrease pain which are pain Killers so after medicinal approach we can apply electrotherapy as treatment.

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation can be used as a treatment for radial nerve palsy because this current would generate different impulses so that nerve may remain intact again.
That was all about a brief about wrist drop....
