What is your favorite food to enjoy in winter, and why? |

My favourite food that I enjoy during winter is jollof Spaghetti. I love eating this food because it's spicy and keeps the body warm from winter cold. I also love to make it because its quite easy to prepare, affordable and very delicious. This meal is also very nutritious and some of the health benefits includes.
- High carbohydrate content
It is very high in Carbohydrate, which gives energy to the body.
- Vitamins and minerals
The tomatoes and peppers use in cooking it is very Rich in Vitamin A and C
- Antioxidants features
The tomatoes use in cooking it contains Lycopene an Antioxidants that helps to shield the body from damage and inflammation.
- Iron content
It also contains a high amount of iron which is essential for the body immune functions.

Yes they're so many Ingredients that makes this meal unique.
I usually add enough spicy to my meat while parboiling it inorder to make the stock delicious.
Secondly, I add ingredients like Bay leaf, Ginger, Garlic, Nutmeg, Thyme while cooking my Jollof Spaghetti and it helps to bring out the delicious taste.
I also fry my tomatoes for a while before adding my Spaghetti and it helps to intensity the flavor.
Finally, I don't add too much water to my Jollof Spaghetti to prevent making it soggy and this leaves the rice very attractive.

I will start by listing the ingredients for this delicious meal
- Spaghetti
- Groundnut oil
- Fresh tomatoes
- Salt
- Nutmeg
- Ginger
- Meat
- Garlic
- Seasoning cubes
- Fresh pepper
- Onions
- Crayfish
Procedure |
---|
Wash add spice to you meat and then parboil for 15minutes
Add the Spaghetti, then stir it.
Wash and parboil the Spaghetti for about 6 minutes.
Wash the Spaghetti again after parboiling it and put it in a sieve to drain water.
Wash and blend your tomatoes and set it aside.
Slice your onions and garlic.
Blend your pepper, tumeric, ginger and set it aside.
Add groundnut oil to the pot, add salt, curry powder, thyme and seasoning cubes to it.
Heat it up then add the sliced onions and garlic, fry until it looks crystal.
Add the Tomato and fry for awhile.
Add the Ginger, pepper, crayfish tumeric and fry for awhile.
Add enough water to cook the Spaghetti to the pot.
Turn off the heat when the water dries up and then taste for salt.
