How many seconds in one year?

The year is made up of 365 days which if we are to look at it in seconds, means there are 31,536,000 seconds in one year. If we are to calculate this, it would be calculated as follows;

• 1 Year = 365 days
• 1 day = 24 hours
• 1 hour = 60 minutes
• 1 minute = 60 seconds.

So having said that above, the calculation would be calculated as shown below.

365 × 24 × 60 × 60 = 31,536,000 seconds in a year.

The calculation that is used here to calculate the number of seconds in a year is based on the assumption of a non-leap year of 365 days.

Calculate your current age in seconds.

Currently, I am 28 years which I am to calculate the age in second I will be using the non-leap year of 365 days.

Non- leap year 365 days

• 1 year = 31,536 seconds

Leap year 366 days

• 1 leap year = 31, 622,400 second

Now assuming there is an average distribution of leap years, there is going to be about 7 leap years in a 28-year age.

Having said that, my current age which is 28 years will then be calculated as;

21 × 31,536 second + 7 × 31,622,400 second = 883,612,800 seconds.
