My favorite place to visit is Pulau Weh, the city of Sabang, Aceh Province which is located in the western part of Indonesia. An island located between the Malacca Strait and the Indonesian Ocean.

Why do you like it? The main feature that make it more attractive to you??

Here lies a 0 kilometer monument for Indonesia, which of course indicates that this is where the calculation of the distance to Indonesia's territory begins.
Pulau Weh is also famous for its beautiful beaches with coral reefs which are very easy to find along the coast.

Here there is also a fort belonging to the Japanese army which is of course for those who want to see how great a defense was that was built in the past, even though technology was not as advanced as it is today.

Even those who like swimming with fish in the sea with beautiful coral reefs can visit this island. Of course, a beautiful sight that we can see when we can swim with coral reef fish which are very beautiful.

I visited last year with my colleagues in order to get rid of fatigue after working extra to succeed in a computer-based national exam that was held simultaneously at our place of duty.

Because there is a desire to go again this year with my family, while staying in touch and enjoying the natural beauty of Weh Island, which we have not explored all of while visiting this tourist location located on Weh Island.

Planning a vacation with my family to this island is a discourse that I want to do this year during my son's year-end holidays or school holidays.

What are the special features of that place?

This place is indeed very special with the existence of a tourist location that holds the history of the second world war which still stands tall today.

Besides that, we can see the very beautiful Sabang Meurauke monument with views of the city of Sabang as seen from the location of the monument.

Share the local cuisine of that place.

In this place there is actually a special menu that you must enjoy when you visit, but because I don't like it. Because the meat is a bit tough, I don't like it and of course I enjoyed this a few years ago when I visited with my wife. Octopus satay is the favorite food on this island of Weh. And there are other foods that are suitable for you to enjoy when visiting this island, namely reef fish head curry with a very delicious taste when we enjoy lunch.

Because this is Aceh, you can enjoy Mie Aceh, which is one of the most popular foods in Indonesia and even abroad, with the addition of octopus, of course, while on the mainland you usually add meat, squid or crab.

You can share the expenses of that visit.

For the costs we incur when visiting this island, because we have to cross the sea, we can choose a fast boat or a standard boat with costs from Rp. 28,000.00 to Rp. 75,000.00 for one trip. As for costs while on the island, we can rent a motorbike at a cost of Rp. 100,000.00/day, while for cars we can choose from Rp. 250,000.00 to Rp. 600,000.00/day which we can use for groups of six people up to sixteen people which of course we can adjust to the needs.

For the cost of renting a resting place, we can choose from the price of IDR 150,000/room/day, even for those who like adventure we can stay in areas directly on the beach such as Gapang or Sumur Tiga.

If you like snorkeling, we can pay from Rp. 50,000.00, for our satisfaction while snorkeling on the beach with very beautiful coral reefs.

Visiting this place should be done with careful planning, especially the first time you visit and you should visit in a certain month and avoid visiting it on year-end holidays, because of the large number of visitors that make you have to look for lodging locations that may not be to your liking, because several locations have been ordered in advance by people who want to enjoy the beauty of the island of Weh.

Avoid visiting when the sea waves are high or the weather is bad which makes you uncomfortable while sailing to Weh Island. For groups, it's best to use experienced travel services that you can search for on Instagram. This is to avoid cost overruns that prevent you from enjoying the beauty of the beach with beautiful coral reefs. Indeed, many people bring private vehicles, but if you are visiting it for the first time, you should be careful.

The road has lots of climbs and turns which of course is a challenge that makes us have to be extra careful.
