Polar bears can withstand extreme cold. They prefer to live in areas where the temperature falls to (-). They can withstand temperatures from -10° to -30° Celsius. Polar bears prefer to live in places where the average annual temperature is below -45°. The only reason these polars stay in cold regions is because their fat layer is 4 to 5 inches. Which keeps their body warm despite the cold environment. And they live in cooler areas because the prey they eat lives there. They burrow into the ice and wait for prey. They have no problem with that. They often swim underwater under the ice. Not only there they burn and spend time in school alike. They always like to eat fatty animals.
Polar bears are the largest species of bear in the world. They are also very easy to recognize. Their skin color is white with black coat. And it is easy to understand by looking at their nose.
This polar bear is found in many countries of the world. Among these, the 5 countries that have the largest number of polar bears are given below:-
1) Russia
2) United States of America
3) Canada
4) Greenland
5) Norway
These countries have polar bears. These poles grow from 5 feet to 12 feet tall. And their weight ranges from 260 kg to 450 kg.
Polar bear's favorite fruit is watermelon. They also love to eat berries. They eat watermelon when they are at home. They are carnivores. They love to eat meat. They eat seals in the sea ice. And they also eat dead whales. This polar bear can eat 40-50 kg of food per day.
