"Steemit Engagement Challenge | S7W1 || Celebrating eid-ul-fitr
Assalamualaikum all of my friends. How are you all? I hope you are all well. I'm fine too. I am Mohammad Kamran Hossain. After quite some time again we have "Engagement Challenge S7" which is very exciting for us. The main topic of today's contest is about our religious festival and today's contest is organized by "Steem for Pakistan" community for which I thank all the fans of this community. However, now I present to you my religious festival celebrations.
Today's presentation of the religious festival I celebrate is called Eid-ul-Fitr or the Eid of fasting. Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the two biggest religious festivals of the Muslim community. After fasting for a long month, this festival is celebrated for our joy. Eid is an Arabic word and the word Eid has several meanings, one of which is return. This day comes back again and again in the lives of Muslims and is called Eid because everyone gets together to celebrate.
After 1 long year we Muslim community people celebrate this Eid-ul-Fitr. This Eid of fasting brings joy to us Muslims so before celebrating this day we have to do several things. For example:
- Cleaning the house and yard of the house.
- The homestead is decorated with attractive lighting.
- Imprinting henna on the hands of almost all the members of the house, big or small.
- Buying special food for home.
- Buying new clothes for each member of the household.
- To share happiness among all the members of the house.
According to the Hijri calendar, the Eid al-Fitr festival is celebrated on the 1st of Shawwal at the end of the month of Ramadan. Originally Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated for 1 day but its joy starts when the month of fasting begins. People of the Muslim community fast hard for a long month and wait for this day with joy in their hearts so that the joy of this festival continues in our hearts for a month.
Muslims observe several rituals on the day of Eidul Fitr. Fasting on Eid is prohibited and a specific prayer is also designated for this day. As an obligatory act of charity, money (known as Zakat ul Fitr) is paid to the poor and needy before going to the 'Eid prayer.
Eid morning :
After fasting for a long month, on the day of Eid we wake up early in the morning and hear the sweet sound of Quran recitation and ghazals from different mosques. Then we get out of bed, brush our teeth and complete ablution and wear Sunnati clothes like Punjabi, pajama, cap. Then in the morning according to Sunnah rules, we eat semai for a light dessert and in the morning we all go to the Eidgah ground of our village to perform 2 rakat wajib prayers. At the end of 2 Rakat Wajib Namaz Huzoor recites the Khutba for some time and we listen to it attentively. After finishing all these religious activities, I returned home.
At noon :
In the afternoon, different kinds of food are organized in the homestead. For example: pitha, biryani, luchi, semai and many other types of food are organized and on this day you can eat as much as you like. I eat these foods slowly after finishing noon prayer.
Afternoon :
On the afternoon of Eid, I went out for a walk with me and my cousins. We go for a walk in a park near our house and there are lots of people there. We roam around there, eat food, ride nagardolas and enjoy ourselves in various ways. Spend the whole afternoon roaming around and sharing the joy with family members.
Night :
On this special day of Eid get a special food that we buy from the market. This paan is specially prepared and it is a sweet paan made with many sweet ingredients. Then I come home at night to eat out and have a heavy meal so I finish my dinner with something sweet.
This was a few moments of the whole day I spent on the religious festival of Eid.
Festivals not only bring the joy of human association, but also refresh the physical and mental energy by invigorating the soul, giving new motivation to work. People's creativity is also expressed around the festival. There is a need for these festivals to increase religious consciousness and religious knowledge. The economic usefulness of the festival is not less.
This was the celebration of a religious festival that I presented to you today. I hope you will also like this religious festival that I celebrate.

Good to read from you today dear friend, you've got a very good entry and I wish you the very best dear friend.
Thank u so much my dear brother for your great feedback 😍.
Thank u my dear sister for your valuable feedback 😍
Very nice pictures.
A very well explained article
